Hired Derreck D***** for dog training. Bad Dog Solutions is his families dog training business. Reached out to him on thumbtack, read all the business reviews on there and hired him on January 8th, 2023. He was to take my dog to his training facility in delta CO and have him for 3 weeks to train at their board and train. He said he would be sending update videos and also photos of my dog. During that time I did not receive one video or photo of my dog. The three weeks is up and he is supposed to bring my dog home. He couldn’t because his car wasn’t working. I was very understanding and gave him the benefit of the doubt. He then proceeded to tell me he would bring my dog three times after that and never did. I drove 5 hours to Delta CO to pick him up. Instead of keeping my dog 3 weeks for training he ended up keeping him 5 weeks. Trainer then proceeded to tell me he would Mail and give us back our refund of 1,200 dollars for all the miscommunication and mishaps while he had my dog for training. Also, he said he would contact us when he would be able to come and do some training with us in our home. He told us to keep in touch with him and we would hear from him soon. He hasn’t responded to any calls or messages I have sent him. He has not returned the money and after all of this my dog wasn’t trained AT ALL. He kept my dog 5 weeks, didn’t give me a refund, and my dog hasn’t been trained. Now I had to find another training facility to give my dog the training he needs/deserves. We made our first deposit to Derreck on January 8th, 2023 and it was for $250. The next payment was on January 14th, 2023 for $400. The last payment was on January 27th, 2023 and it was for $500 dollars. I have photos of our back and fourth conversations for proof and receipts for the transactions that were made. I am filing this complaint not only to have my situation resolved, but to also help the next person that hires this business to not have to go through the same thing I did.
