  Hortus has been cleaning our lot of pine needles, pruning and cutting down trees, and basically providing fire mitigation for over 10 years. They provide the fairest and most economical estimates for their work, as I checked with other companies to compare prices, at first. When I found Hortus and experienced the quality of their work, I looked no further. They are here when they say they will be and work until the job is finished. The workers don't stand around wasting time and loafing; they work. Then when they have completed the job, they clean up. I am so pleased with their work, I wouldn't even consider using another company, and we have referred Hortus to many people, who have used and referred them, and so on. On Friday, Hortus came to give us a bid for our lot clean-up, and I told the owner that my husband was very ill, under ************* and that we could not walk the lot with him, but he is very familiar with our lot, from many times past. I waited for the estimate, and later in the day, I spoke with the owner again, who told me Hortus would clean-up our lot at no charge, for being such loyal customers and providing referrals for their company. Well, sure enough, at 8:30 this morning, three workers showed up and worked until our lot had been cleaned. What other company could you find who would do this? I am very pleased with and grateful to Hortus for their professional service and heart. Thank you, Hortus.

  I have relied on Hortus for approximately 35 years to do tree pruning and repair for the 3 residences I have owned, and always found their work product to be exceptional. They know how much to trim and produce a well proportioned tree which seems to flourish from season to season. They are conscientious in doing their work, never damaging the nearby landscaping and clean up after themselves. I will continue to use them every Spring and Fall as necessary.As for pricing, I never had a problem in receiving and living up to their quote, and found the cost for services to be extremely reasonable. I just had them trim 6 flowering crabapple trees, one of which needed extensive repair due to extensive wind damage of last winter's storm, for under $700.
