On Jan. 12th, 2018 I closed on a home (new construction) in the ********************** in *******, ** and I had issues from day 1. The lot was to have sprinler and bubbler systems, a tree in the front yard, three bushes next to the porch, rocks, and sawd. Front and back. Being at that house for the first time about a month earlier, I saw a pallet with rolls of sawd on it.Thinkn to myself surley theyre not going to put that in.....but they did. Dried up, shriveled up, and in December? So much so that i had to bring dirt in and fill the gaps between the rolls of sawd. About a third of the sawd was dead. The tree and the bushes didnt look any better. By spring thaw, other issues started to appear. The rocks around my entire house was sinking, the front porch was sinking, the entire yard around my water meter pit, sewer line, and water supply line that was buried.....its all sinking. My a/c unit and skid, which is on the rocks, is sinking. Its obvious to me whats happening. Well, what didnt happen. So I talked with the man who built my house and sure enough, no compaction. He told me that the contractor who dug the basement didnt include in his bid to fill and compact anything. ******************* and ********************* (LDI) argued that its part of doing the dirt work, goes hand in hand. Contractor sais no, but ill give you a bid for filling and compacting, they say no,and get off this subdivision. Compaction was never done. They failed to tell me this at closing so as far as im concerned, thats a breach of contract. The front porch had to be replaced, the a/c unit had to be cut loose, built up and redone. They sent a crew over to my house to fix everything. what they did was peel back the rocks , add a little dirt to bring it up to grade, then throw the rocks back down. I kicked them off my property. thats not gunna fix 7 or 8 feet of loose dirt. I ran out of room for this issue and im not even close to being done. more than happy to talk over the phone. ************. thank you
