    I have spent countless hours on the phone with the incompetent people who work for this insurance, usually, with no result. So far in the year 2024 here are some issues:1) they decided to reprocess some claims from over a year ago and are now saying I owe nearly $500 extra for services long completed. 2) it took 4 conversations for them to accurately process my screening mammogram. They tried to deny this claim which should be 100 percent covered as an in network preventative procedure.3) When I was shopping for insurance, it said that UC health with in network. When I tried to go to my OBGYN office, I was told that my insurance is out of network now. This company is run by incompetent, evil people who, instead of taking care of their patients, make them sicker.

    The Anthem Extras Dental plan is terrible. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!The dental extras program has obscure waiting period rules that deny certain types of dental service coverage in the fist year of singing on. There is no way to view your claims online. You get a paper statement in the mail only! Or you can make a phone call to customer service and ask for details. Be prepared to be handed off to more representatives to get information.The appeals process gets processed by someone with whom you cannot identify. Communication about the appeal happens through the physical letters in the mail

    On August 31 2023 I canclelled my dental plan with Anthem by phone. I had autopay and asked that my checking account not be charged for the month of September. On September 3rd my account was charged $36.00. I contacted them and they said that there was no way to stop the withdrawl and I would be reinbursed the entire amount the end of September. On October 11 th I again contacted them and was told that I had been overlooked. They said that my refund would be expidited the next day. On October 20th I called again and I was told that the I could expect my refund in 30 to 45 daysn from my October 11th call. If I did not receive it by then I should contact them again. It may be the end of November before I get my money back. Think long and hard about buying this dental insurance. They deny full coverage for regular cleaning.
