I was paying a subscription service for credit card processing fees. They did not send me confirmation of the account creation and just began charging me separately from the credit card processor. They provided me no documents and I didn't know I would be working with them until I received a bill from them. I was charged for the monthly service on 12/4/23 after I cancelled the service on 11/22/23. I have spoken with representatives in order to get help but none are willing to help me and they will actively ignore me when I start telling them what happened. During the processing time they also charged me an extra $500 for a high risk business payment but never notified me of the charge and took it from my account. I am extremely frustrated and I believe that they are just pushing me off and taking money from me.

Thank you for reaching out to our offices about your concern. we received the attached application signed by the merchant August 28, ************************************** the application package there are three areas that review the required **** registration. This fee is a pass-thru fee and is charged to all merchants that have specific SIC/MCC codes. In the attached application under PRICING SCHEDULE A (top of page three) you will see the high-risk registration fee noted. This fee is noted a second time on page 13, item 7, on the merchant attestation. This fee is noted a third time on page 16, mid-page. Each of these areas have the merchant signing off acknowledging the fee(s) charged for the merchant account for their industry type. An email notification was sent to the merchant on 11/07/2023 providing notice that the fee was to be deducted.

We did receive a request to cancel the merchant account from the agent office on 11/27/2023. Although the agreement signed is a two- year term, the account is being cancelled as a courtesy.

      Thank you.

I have a small business that I opened a credit card processing machine for in September 2019 and within a month we saw many small charges that hit our account. After seeing all the extra charges, i called the company and spoke to a lady name ***** who advice to return the machine and also write them a letter to terminate the contract. All this was done. The agent who sold us the services told me that I could end the contract anytime we needed to if we were not happy with the services. but months later they tried to collect more funds from our bank account. Few months ago, I saw that the company eps is reporting over $2k on our credit report. I called Eps to ask them to remove the report on my credit and I was told that there is nothing they could do because I Spoke ***** but once she left the company, the new account manager reported the amount to the credit agencies. They also said since it has been sent to the credit agencies a while ago, there is nothing they can do. I think this is very unfair and unethical given these were never services that were rendered. I returned the machine literally a month after having the services and they are charging us for the rest of the 2 years that they now claim was part of the contract that I am obligated to pay. I am writing to you to see how you an help with this matter as they do this to a lot of small business.

We have reviewed the merchants complaint and email attachments. In our review we see the merchant did sign a two year term for services in July 2019. From the time of the merchants approval in July 2019, they have had several calls about their account and services, even going as far as exchanging the first set of equipment sent to them for processing. After 2 months, the merchant called in to cancel services due to the business closing. On the call and the copy of the agreement provided the merchant was advised of the 2 year agreement and sending in the cancellation letter, the agreement would not end until July 2021. The merchant later called in (10/03/2019) about a charge of $78.79. It was explained that those are the fees for the processing month of September 2019.  She became upset and stated she would stop pay anything from our company. The merchant used services in September 2019 and fees were due, however, the merchant did place a stop payment on these fees and they rejected back to our office in October 2019. Contact was attempted with the merchant and was placed into collections for the remainder of the agreement in November 2019 for $1855.79 plus any additional collection fees.

On June 12, 2020, the merchant contacted our office about the amount in collections and was again advised of the agreement and the remaining amount owed to us.

The merchant signed into an agreement and was placed into collections 2.5 years ago for the remainder of the agreement they had been notified about. The merchant was given opportunities to pay the amount due for monthly fees, but intended on stop paying. We are happy to work with the merchant and the collection agency on a settlement. However, there are fees due for the term of the agreement the merchant signed.

      Thank you.

Hello, I Opened an account with EPS for my business back in 2018. My business closed down due to corona in 2020 and i called the company and cancelled the service. I have not Processed one sale with the company since 2020. EPS Kept my account open and charged me every month without contacting me and recently put me into collections for money that i owe them after i already cancelled 2 years ago and didnt use the service for one transaction for at least ********************************************************************** that they did not close my account. They saw the account was inactive and continued to charge me and sent me to collections without reaching out to me once. I should not owe any money from when i cancelled. Additionally EPS records should show not one transaction was processed on my account for years. To put me in collections without contacting me and to continue to charge me years after the last transaction is terrible business practice.

The merchant signed for an account 09/26/2018 for merchant services. The agreement signed it a 2 year agreement which automatically renews unless we are provided written notification of the intent to not renew the merchant account and processing services. I am not sure who **************** spoke to in 2020 to cancel services, as this could have been another vendor such as gateway provider, but we do require a signed letter or an internal cancellation form to be completed and signed by the merchant as stated in the agreement signed by the merchant. Before placing the account in collections our client services attempted to reach out four times over a four month period March to July2021) to the number last provided by **************** *************) with no response. The merchant was sent to collections in December 2021 For the remaining agreement terms. We have checked our systems and see no incoming calls from any related numbers provided by the merchant to validate an attempt to cancel services. Please provide any documentation to support the cancellation and we will be happy to look into this further. Thank you.
