    I rented 2 Storage units from this business for 5+ years and then they were purchased and switched to new owners. I recently gave my 30 days notice on 10/1/2024. Then on 10/31/2024 I went into office and signed my paperwork stating that I was out of the units and they were clean and ready to rent to new customers. Then these owners kept charging me rent and added fees and bad credit reporting stating that I never left. I contacted them in Nov 2024 and Dec 2024 and they still stated I owe them back rent. I guess the employee that I checked out with no longer works for them and they dont want to believe me that I was done renting from them. I have called multiple times and cannot get the owners to call me back or listen to my case that I did everything necessary to complete my rental period with them on 10/31/2024.

    Where to begin.

     

    1) the customer signed a 30 day notice form which states (and he acknowledges in his complaint he needed to do) to once unit is empty, lock removed, come in show id and sign out and sign release form to release unit from his name.  

    2) He claims he came in and signed this however as you can see by the ************ he was not done with the unit until 6:39pm on October 31st 2024 which is over an hour and half after the office was already closed for the day so no employee was ever there past 5pm to sign out.

    3) he claims that in November a new employee was there.  untrue the same employee/manager was there through mid December so he is lying about that as well.

    4) As you can see he was called to resolve this numerous times along with letters being sent that went unanswered until a long time later.  The initial 2 weeks of calls were trying to get him to just come sign out and not pay anything else.  However we can NOT legally move it out or re rent it until he does.  The only way is to then let it go ******************* LIEN stage and then move it out.

    5) he has still to this day NOT PAID A DIME nor has he been sent any mail or emails since he was 30 days past due. Although he owes over $900 in legal rent/fees he has not paid nor been sent notices of this since LIEN status several months ago
