    I pay for a parking permit at my apartment complex every month for 8 dollars through a companys complex has contracted. The parking lot and apartment are adjacent to a popular concert venue. The business states that they are committed to enforce that only those with a paid parking permit will be able to utilize the lot. There is no enforcement outside of the lot so if someone attending a concert decides they would like to park in our lot, they will get a violation but will receive no consequence if they decide not to pay it. After paying for my permit at the beginning of this month 09/01, late at night on 09/24 a notice of parking violation was placed on my windshield nearly under the hood of the car folded very small. I found the notice the afternoon of 09/27 only because the paper had shifted due to wind while driving. The violation stated that the vehicle did not have an active permit and would incur late charges and the car would be booted or towed. The company makes it difficult to contact and the only way to dispute is through an online portal. I am currently waiting to hear if they will resolve the issue.

    Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. After reviewing your account, I confirmed that you did have an active parking permit at the time the ticket was issued. However, the permit was registered to a different vehicle than the one that received the citation. Our parking enforcement system relies on the license plate number registered to your permit when scanning vehicles on site. If the plate on file does not match the vehicle being used, the system will not recognize it as valid, which can result in a citation.


    In this case, your license plate was updated to the correct one on 9/27. It was updated after the ticket was received; however, we voided the citation that same day once the correction was made. We appreciate your prompt action in updating your vehicle information. I also noticed that the vehicle that was ticketed appears to be a rental. If youre using a temporary or rental vehicle in the future, please make sure to update your license plate number in the system to match the vehicle youre driving. This will ensure your permit is properly recognized and help avoid any further tickets.

    I am rejecting this response because: although the violation was removed from my account, it is still unclear how this business services prevent people who do not live in the apartments from using the lot while they attend a concert across the street. I need to be informed exactly what they are doing to combat this. If nothing is done to those people, then I feel like this service is just taking money from residents for essentially nothing. As I have stated in previous correspondence, what is preventing a non-resident from taking the parking violation attached to their windshield and just throwing it away after they attend a concert?

    As shown in the attached screenshot, I paid for 2 hours of parking at the parking lot at *******************, ***************************************** at 6:17 pm on November 4, 2024. I received a ticket for nonpayment the same date at 6:20 pm. When I contacted 5280 Parking, they acknowledged that they were not claiming the ticket was valid but asked me to submit a formal dispute anyway.

    We are not the consumer on this ticket that you received. I keep asking BBB to find the correct company and I have offered the correct information but they refuse to do so. I am sending you the correct information so you have it and hope BBB reads this so they can correct the problem. We are 5280 Parking Service and we do maintenance just like we have told BBB and on their website. Our website is 5280parkingservices and for anyone reads it says we do maintenance work on parking lots and garages. We do striping , sweeping and bumper blocks ballards and other minor maintenance work on parking lots and garages. The ticket says 5280 parking and there number is ************, please call them and resolve the ticket with them. I get calls for them all the time and they sound  like a really bad company that should be reported to the *** Good luck and i would also suggest talking to the leasing office to see what number they have whom they have hired to write tickets at the facility.

    My complaint should be against a business called 5280 Parking. This is different from 5280 Parking Services LLC.
