This company, Liberty American Patriots Stores dba solarisdesk.com seems to already have a profile with the BBB opened 3-8-22, and they are still fraudulently conducting business. If you would have shut them down back then, all the ten people who have complained, including me, (attached) would not have had to deal with this fraud company. They advertised a free coin that came up on my phone. All I was supposed to pay was the shipping cost of $4.99 but if I used a Mastercard, it said that would take $1 off, so my charge should have been $3.99. When I hit submit and the order was being processed, I saw in the background four boxes that were pre-checked. I emailed them immediately and told them I did not order those things and that they had pre-checked the boxes, not me. So they waited until the items were shipped to finally respond to my email and told me that I did order those items. My cost of $3.99 went to $56.90. I told them repeatedly that I did not order all that stuff and they repeatedly said I did. I demanded a full refund of $56.90. I took the package back to the post office and returned it to the sender. They only refunded $46.95. I told them they were not going to keep $9.95 of my money. They had the nerve to tell me that I selected insured shipping and it was not refundable. That was one of the pre-checked boxes. They refuse to refund it. I have attached my email correspondence with them dated from 5-31-24 to 6-17-24, along with ten complaints, plus mine, to the ***************** Everyone had the same issue with this company charging for items they did not order. The customer is supposed to check the boxes, not the company. They need to be shut down.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Their response is that they have already given me a refund. But if they or you read my complaint, they refuse to give me a full refund that included the shipping fee. I did not order most of the items they charged me for and I did not select insured shipping. The business checked that box. I feel I should not have to be responsible for what they selected. The complaints from other people that I attached to my complaint have all said that this company did the same thing to them that they did to me, charging for items that we did not order because the items and the shipping were already preselected. This company continues to operate and commit fraud. Since I did not select insured shipping, I expect to be refunded that amount of $9.95.

I need to let you know that I had to get a new debit card today because of fraud transactions, so if that company ever refunds my $9.95, it won't be able to go back on that debit card. They will have to mail a check. They have my address.Customer Answer

They advertised a free ***** flag after checking in they would not let me exit. I was told if I hit the background I will be double charged so I logged out and called the company within three minutes. Left a message cause no one answered was notified today its too late they already shipped the flag, this website is a scam. They agreed to refund $24 of my money if I have to accept that I will but they need to be stopped.Initial Complaint

The ad on ******** stated: FRE HAT, just pay shipping. ($5.95) I agreed and filled in my payment ********** thing I know, I get check my bank acct., only to find I have been billed $32.20 TWICE by this company! So, I get back online since they don't list a phone contact, and email them to cancel any and all orders. And, of course, they are so efficient that they have already processed and shipped the order to me. They say they will refund me if I pay to send whatever it is they're sending back, at my expense. I'm not sure whether they mean 1 or 2 orders, or just the shipping, or all the stuff they added on. As of 12/25/2023 I still don't have ANY orders, and I'm out $64.40.Customer Answer

I received the doubled up order, and an e- mail stating they would refund me $10, This is not satisfactory. Why should I have to pay for this scam?

2. A word on Chargebacks
Many people are unaware of this, but in the event, a customer files a chargeback without waiting for the normal refund process to complete, it may affect their credit score negatively.
The term in dispute on their credit report will appear during the chargeback investigation period. Dispute notations on credit reports sometimes make it difficult to qualify for a new loan or obtain credit, especially in the mortgage market.
Also, after the chargeback investigation, should the credit card provider discovers that the customer has not completed the normal refund process, it may result in instances where both the customer and their credit cards are permanently blacklisted by various financial institutions, banks, and popular retailers such as Amazon or Walmart.
That is why we highly recommend that every customer follow the normal refund process.

I ordered a ***** flag from this company back on 10-27-23 for $8.90 which included shipping. When the order arrived they sent me additional goods that I did not order in the amount of $105.16.Upon delivery, I was finally told to ship the goods back. Which I did at my cost of $10.00 Back to the address from where they were shipped from in **********. Finally I get an email after 2 attempts at contacting them, and they claim that I ordered 4 items, how interesting. Only received on receipt from them for $8.90. Nothing else, to reflect the additional charges. They have an address in **********, an address in ********, and my bank records show the money was deposited in a bank in *****. There answering service is in Alabama. This is a big Scam for sure.
