    DO NOT USE THIS SHOP..... they DO NOT stand behind their work. I brought my classic car to Pro Tech to have my gas gague checked. ** did get the gague to function but not properly - he said that that the needle was not retracting to empty correctly,THEN ... TJ spoted a defective wire connection on my tachometer and put a new connector on the neg side of the coil. The tachometer was working fine when I brought the car there on Oct 14, 2025... when I picked the car up on Oct 15th the tach was no longer working correctly. The work TJ performed on the **** was NOT part of the job that I brought the car in for!!I called, ******, the owner of the business, and HE REFUSED TO EVEN LOOK AT MY CAR TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND YELLED AT ME THAT I SHOULD TAKE THE **** AND GET THAT FIXED..... but they did take my $400!!!!!PRO SHOP DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK !!!!!

    We checked out the tachometer and the fuel gauge as he asked us to do. As mentioned above. The tachometer and fuel gauge were both not functioning. In the very beginning he called and said that ****** Automotive had previously worked on it and he wasnt ever going to take it back to them because  they messed it up. His entire conversation was just complaining about how he was upset and they didnt fix it right. So we called ****** Automotive to get a run down about the situation. ****** saying they sent the tachometer out to be repaired, but couldnt find why it still wasnt working. Also the fuel gauge wasnt working properly and the customer was not going to have them work on it anymore. So I asked ****** Automotive about that and they said they werent sure why it wasnt working properly. So ****** told the customer to call us to work on it. The customer then asked us to call him if it goes over ******. We did call him to explain why we had to pull out the fuel gauge four times to bend the needle and then charge more for that labor. We found the bad connection on the coil wire where it hooks up to and then it started working. Ok , then we got on the fuel gauge issue, as stated above we found that the needle in the gauge was getting stuck on the bezel of itself. So we corrected the problem by bending it so itll not rub against the bezel anymore. Also we pulled out the fuel sending unit and tested the resistance of it so we could be sure that the readings on the gauge were correct. He then picked it up. We got a call from him later that day saying that the tachometer wasnt working correctly and was very nasty about it over the phone yelling and saying that we ripped him off. His tone was not polite and saying nasty things to us. Insisting that we should fix his tachometer. So I asked him if it was working and he said yes but not reading correctly. So my response was that all we did was repair the bad connection to it. He just decided to yell more and threatening to leave a nasty review. Didnt matter to him when I said that if ****** automotive sent the tachometer out to be repaired to another company that he should take it back to ****** Automotive so they can send it back to the tachometer repair company. We spent about 4-5 hours trying to repair the fuel gauge and only charged for 2 hours, plus found and repaired the bad connection to the coil. The customer came in with a bad attitude in the very beginning and wasnt grateful about anything we had repaired because of his attitude towards us. Because of his negligent behavior and not listening to what our advice was we said have a blessed day and ended communication.

    Bottom Line:

    1) the fuel gague does not work correctly
    2) the tachometer does not work correctly
    3) they took my $400 and told me there's nothing else they can do

    Now he's saying I'm rude...    well, I don't like spending money and not getting value
