On December 23, 2024, I paid $1,903.97 for the installation of a new catalytic converter. From the beginning, the part has produced an abnormal noise. On January 7, 2025, I returned to the shop to report the noise. The shop manager told me that it was normal for a new part and did not inspect my vehicle. I left believing his explanation. On May 3, 2025, I returned again because the noise had gotten worse. I asked them to thoroughly inspect the catalytic converter. The manager told me to leave the vehicle for the day. Later, I was informed that nothing was wrong with the catalytic converter and that the issue was due to my oil being two quarts low. This explanation did not resolve the problem.Since then, the noise has continued. I work on the road as a crane operator, which makes it difficult to return frequently, but each time I drive the vehicle, the noise persists.I believe I was sold a defective part or that the installation was not performed correctly. The shop has refused to acknowledge the warranty on the part or provide a permanent solution. Additionally, when I asked for a copy of their inspection report, I was met with attitude and was denied the documentation.Given the cost of this repair and the repeated failure of the shop to address the issue, I am requesting that:Midas replace the catalytic converter under warranty at no additional labor cost, or Provide a full refund of $1,903.97 so I may have the work corrected elsewhere.I have made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this directly with the shop, but they have not taken responsibility. I am now asking the BBB to intervene.

I took my vehicle there for a alignment and inspection . I received a call saying my alignment was done but they broke three of my lug nuts and studs off of my passenger side wheel lol. They told me it was because another mechanic worked on vehicle a week before and said it was his fault . They told me I had to pay for it and then after thats repaired I have to pay for another alignment after that because its required when you fix that particular part. So I went in and paid for alignment and got my car back broken with instructions to fix it on my own and then get another alignment . I refuse to pay and then held my car ****** until I paid and then sent me home driving with 3 broken studs and 3 missing lug nuts . If thats not bad enough driving home I noticed the alignment is still off lol

I visited Midas on 1/17/23 around 3 PM it was towards the end of the day so an appointment was set up for removing the tire carrier, install a fuel door, and to check the cruise control sensor. I arrive the next day and owner closes the garage door and it was snowing, but they weren't very busy. I check in and it seems to be some confusion. I explain what I needed and he still seemed to be surprised at me. The older man said it will take all day to get to me because they had other people in front of me and they had "a lot to do." I felt that they didn't want me there. I was nice enough to change my appointment to the next day. I arrive on Thursday and again the older man said they were busy even though they had 2 bays completely open. After check in the older man was overtly flirty and weird. I guess it's strange that a woman drives a truck and knows what the truck needs. There is no need to make a marriage proposal or ask if I will adopt you. It made me feel uncomfortable. When the truck was in the bay it appeared to be more cooks in the kitchen surrounding it. 3-4 men had confusion about the tire carrier. It really wasn't that hard. Just standing around gawking at it. Then the fuel door caused them confusion even when I provided instructions with it. It was a 10 minute job. They gave up on it and basically said I needed to go somewhere else to put it on. Finally with the cruise control; they started 3-4 times, did the computer diagnostic, drove it around and couldn't figure it out. So they gave up. The made up that it's something with the steering. They did a lot of standing around and gawking instead of working. I was there for over 1.5 hours and all they could do is take the tire carrier off. Midas charged me $186 and some change for very little work and that $10 discount went nowhere on the receipt. Charging almost $200 to remove a tire carrier and a simple diagnostic was overpriced. I'd like a refund and an apology due to the older manager "flirting."
