On July 27, 2022 we purchased a **** Transit van. When we tested it the first day, we noticed the check engine light was on. We were looking for a van because our current van had check engine light on it. We made it *****% clear that we would take the van so long as the check engine light was fixed whatever the problem is will be fixed and new tires and a couple other things that were complete. They requested a couple weeks to finish. When we picked up the van, it was already running. We drove it about 10 miles to ************* home to learn about the other compartments. The moment we turned the van on to leave his partners home the check enjine light came back on along with def fuel. we called OCRV right away and they kept saying don't worry it will go away etc but it didn't and we called again and again and then we found out that the smog was not current like they advertised it was. We have not been able to use the van the way it was sold to us. Because there was no current smog, we couldn't get insurance and the van would only drive at 40 mph so we had to do many tests to make it work. **** refuses to acknowledge their wrong doing. Further more, the only miles we put on this truck from date of purchase were all to make it operable. It still won't pass smog test.

We are requesting that *********** and ********* (collectively ****) remedy the failures of the ******** *********************** project undertaken for ** in May of 2022, and not resulting in a useable van for us until just recently. That means compensating us for the hardships we have experienced over the past eighteen months as a result of OCRVs false and misleading representations, delays, faulty workmanship and poor business practices. In May of 2022 we entered into an agreement with **** to convert a new 2022 ******** 4x4 Sprinter van, which we purchased for that purpose, into a recreational vehicle (campervan or RV). The **** representatives we dealt with told us that conversion was to be complete and useable by mid-June of 2022, but that did not happen. In addition to the time and resources we have expended, and the opportunities we have lost, due to OCRVs actions, we have also expended over $160,000 to purchase and convert a van that was not useable. We paid **** over $80,000 for a conversion project plagued by unmet and false promises and representations, unanswered communications, and defective workmanship. Electrical, solar, structural and innumerable other flaws went unresolved until ultimately repaired by us at substantial cost. What became apparent as the project progressed, but was never disclosed to us, was that we were financing the development of a prototype model for OCRVs ********* kits in Sprinter vans. That is contrary to OCRVs representations to us, and in its social media posts, that our requested conversion of the van was something **** was familiar with and could perform efficiently and responsibly. Moreover, the sheer number of photos and the video walk-through of our RV on the ********* website, showcasing our project for your own business purposes and advertising, demonstrates that **** has received substantial value from the van conversion while failing to provide us a workable campervan in a timely manner. We have been dismayed and frustrated by OCRVs appropriation of our dollars and time towards advancing its own business interests, while at the same time neglecting its commitment to provide us a professionally converted and workable campervan in a promised time-frame.In sum, we believe we are due substantial compensation for the damages we have incurred as a result of the misrepresentations, deficiencies and delays associated with OCRVs work. At a minimum, those damages amount to $53,395, in addition to the loss of $40,000 that we have incurred in finally selling the campervan even though it had hardly been used (only **** miles), for a total of $93,395.
