  They advertise that they report odometer rollback and accidents, but do not. My FaxVin came back mostly clean. My CarFax revealed much more detail including odometer rollback and an accident along with much more detail. I wrote to FaxVin to inquire about this bait and switch, never received and answer.Get what you pay for.

  My car was stolen. I came across FaxVin who claims to have a comprehensive reporting system. First it allows you to enter a VIN# & once thats entered it begins a search & returns with very basic search results, nothing you shouldnt already know about your car. However, a blue link appears suggesting there is more info if a Full Report is initiated. Naturally, Im interested to learn if there is some helpful info, so I chose to click on it. The next screen starts going down a list of items & adds a green check mark to nearly every item requested & when it comes to the stolen, states 4 checks. I made the mistake of believing this meant thered been 4 checks against my vehicle (possibly found & checking for owner or perhaps the *** has made for checks toward finding my vehicle; however I was unsure as there is no additional or helpful info as to what 4 checks means. Naturally Im desperate to have my car returned, so I paid $12.95 in anticipation of getting some info that may help me locate my car. Only when I received their so-called comprehensive report & quickly scrolled-down to the stolen info, it stated no records found. This was very confusing to me since it said previously 4 checks. In the fine print AFTER you purchase the report it states they check one database primarily & on occasion may use another. This is false & misleading. I feel the initial pages are set up to mislead consumers about info they have access to & preys on those that are desperate to find their stolen cars. Literally every field was either useless or incorrect. The company hides behind the excuse that at the time the report is ordered agencies theyre accessing info from havent updated any info. I had 118k miles when my car was stolen & their last update still showed only 5 miles. They also say the pre-report stated 4 checks, not 4 reports found. They are aware of the confusion this causes but do it this way to rope consumers in & charge for literally nothing you dont know.

  Says Free License Plate Lookup when you find it on a browser. After waiting for several minutes of wasted time while it compiles nothing but rather tries to waste my time to prove that it is worth the money. Oh yeahhhhhh, the money, they lied. It actually costs money. So not only did they lie, they falsely advertised on their website. Sounds like a s***** business that doesnt give a hoot about their customers.

  Useless!! I paid $7.95 for a Vehicle History report and all it told me was that the license had been renewed every year. No state, no mileage, and most importantly for what I wanted, no information on ownership transfers. The sampe report had all of this. Small price, but waste of my money and time. I know more from my own investigation of public records, than what they gave me. Would give zero stars if I could.

  I did proceed to paid option as I already got the needed information from the free search on their website.I got a valid VIN number. And that is so valuable to me, as we recently had a car accident where the at-fault party just gave us the wrong information. Now we are able to file a claim with their insurance company. Thank you very much. You saved me.

  Entered my vin and was offered a 7 day trial for $1 put in my info and was told I would receive an email with the report. I hit enter and they charged $1. The site froze on the screen where it said processing payment then kicked me out. I checked my email and there was no report. I went on the customer service chat and was told that I would receive an email with the report any minute. They then asked for my name and email address so they could investigate and get back to me. A couple minutes later I received a charge for $29.99 Thankfully my bank flagged it and I was able to deny it. I went back to work and forgot about it. At 3am my phone went off with a text message from my bank saying a different vin check website was trying to charge $29.99 I denied the charge and immediately locked my account. Now I have to get a new card issued. Don't fall for this scam. There is no report, they just want your info to hit your bank account. They charge the dollar to verify an active account then try to charge you over and over. DON'T DO IT!
