My phone number, contact details, and/or other personal or professional information were used by MerchantCircle to create a public business listing. I did not authorize this listing, nor did I initiate or consent to any business registration or advertising with this company. I recently discovered my information used in one of their listings and have been receiving unsolicited contact regarding the services they listed using my personal information. I respectfully request the BBB investigate this matter and take any necessary steps to ensure that my personal information is removed from their system and any public listings.Business Response

My name/business is listed on Merchant Circle, and I do not remember ever signing up for their services. One problem I am uncomfortable with is that they list my home address. I can tell this is old data they are culling from because I now have more than 35 years of experience, whereas they state twenty. And the phone number listed goes to who-knows-where. I do not want to verify or give them any of my personal information to have myself removed from their website, but I want it removed. Thank you.Business Response

Merchant Circle somehow has my cell number and home address for an LLC that I use for private business. This is not a public business. They make it impossible to claim and delete your business from their website. ** *********** LLC is not a public domain business. I have tried in vain to register with them to claim the business and delete it. Their help line phone number goes nowhere. It just hangs up on you. I need help deleting this business and they offer none. I think they are some sort of scam company.Business Response

To BBB:Merchant Circle is publishing information on DNET INVESTMENTS that is not authorized; nor correct. I contacted this organization asking them to delete my business information off their website. As an authorized agent of DNET INVESTMENTS. **** never signed up with Merchant Circle or asked them to provide any services. I paid a monthly fee to have ***************************************************** Merchatcircle (MC) profile listed in 1 town. The problem is the profile of ************* is not there on MC! When you type in **********************************************************************, ** in Merchantcircle it can not be found at all. I have typed in **********************************************************************, **" and nothing comes up. However, when I signed into *************************************************** MC account I see the profile. Every month MC takes out my money on my credit card. I have written MC numerous times on their internal email "Contact Us" page of their website regarding the festering problem to no avail. I am fed up. There is no one working at Merchantcircle. I've escalated this to our engineering team to see why the listing won't appear anymore. It doesn't look like there's been any credit card charges since 2022, but the listing should still appear somewhere on the site, unless it's been suppressed by one of the third party sites where we fetch the listings.

I am rejecting this response because: I want monies refunded that I paid back to my credit card. Two, the internal email that Merchantcircle requested that I use - does not work!! I have used that since this issue began and nothing happens. Nothing!What has happen there at Merchantcircle is that someone internally has clicked the box that disabled my listing. That means it is not seen in the public view. This is the only way that my listing would appear when I sign-in and not appear when I am signed out. Since there is internal tracking of who sign-in to my account I want to know who the person was that check the box that disabled my listing. I want to know who the person is that told that Merchantcircle employee to do it. Certainly, an employee within Merchantcircle would not just disable my profile box unless they were told to by someone else. Who is this person?

The last charge I can see on the account was December 2022 for $2.50. That was the final payment that I can see on the account after a total spend of $15.00 all-time.
I still have a ticket with engineering to see why the listing doesn't appear. I'm not sure at this time why it's no longer appearing, but we will get it resolved.
In terms of refund, I will get the $15 refunded to the card where those transactions were issued.

I am rejecting PART of their response because it falls short:I am accepting the refund. I see that ***************************************************** Merchantcircle is NOW showing up. While this is a step in the right direction it falls short. I want to know who the employee was at Merchantcircle that went into ***************************************************** profile and checked the "disable box". There is a internal tracking mechanism within Merchantcircle that tells you the individual's name was that signed into his account.
Issue 2 - Also compounding matters the other doctors in the orthopedic practice *******************************, *****************************, ***************************** & ************************************* are now not showing up in the "Merchantcircle search".
To prove this here's what I would like you to specifically do. Go to the Merchantcircle site and in the "Find" box put "*******" in the "Near" box put "***************, **". ******************************* is not showing up. What appears is:
" Sorry, we didn't find any matches for your search "*******" in ***************, ** ***** "
Well, the same results occur when I put in **********, ****************** and ********** for Sports Orthopaedics in place of *******. Merchatcircle has now hinder these other doctors from showing up. I would this to be address. Thank you.

We made a request to ****** to have the page recrawled as it hasn't been recrawled since the page was removed. Unfortunately, it's out of our control at this point and we just need ****** to recrawl the page so it stops showing up in search engine results.
