My real estate company (*******************) hired a property inspection company (AEI Consultants) to produce a report on the condition of my commercial building in *******. But I am at an impasse over receiving a usable product. I sent *** vice president ***** ***** a signed engagement proposal Feb 24 2025. (ATTACHED) *********** conducted the inspection and emailed me a draft report Mar 21. I found that corrections were needed (eg., a damaged wall was not reported; the wrong towns were cited to find code violations). The draft report also stated that my tenant's manager had not filled out a pre-inspection questionnaire he had been asked to complete. Upon receiving this draft I emailed ***** to correct several errors. I also asked if I could intervene to get the person to complete the questionnaire for inclusion into final report. ***** and I scheduled a phone call for March 24. I DID NOT HEAR FROM *** FOR THREE WEEKS. ***** AND HIS NATIONAL CLIENT MANAGER ***** ******* WOULD NOT RESPOND TO MY CALLS AND EMAILS. Finally April 14 ***** emailed me a new draft. He had made most corrections that I had specified. His email also explained that I misunderstood some of the types of information that the report was meant to contain. I was satisfied. ******* ***** ****************************************************************************************************** I asked him for a time that week (Apr *****) to wrap up the job. Again I did not hear back. Since then, neither ***** or ******* have responded to calls and emails. However April 23 ***'s accounts receivables asked me for the $2400 payment. The problem is that the draft report I possess has a huge watermark that reads "DRAFT" across each page. (ATTACHED) Because of AEI's erratic pattern of responding/not responding I don't believe if I pay that I will receive the final product sans watermark. I have requested confirmation before I pay but no one at *** will respond. I am asking the BBB to help.
