One June 3rd I rented a U-Haul truck to do errands because I have Chime Bank Account and Hertz didn't take Chime Credit Card. I got the truck, paid $100.66 in advance is because they figured is what it was going to be the total cost of the truck. When I returned the truck, the office was busy, so I just dropped off my contract, I did return the truck 45 minutes early. As far as I know they did not go out immediately because there were more people in the office behind me. The next thing I know my bank refused a charge of $70.00 and change. I'm glad they did because I did not receive a copy of the final charges on my contract. This is where the trouble starts. I do not have a phone because it fell out of my back pocket in a Lyft car which I filed a complaint with BBB already. So, my neighbor ***** ******* used his phone number for a contact number only. Now, they have threatened him, by email and texts not knowing how they got his email address. The only email address they had on file was mine. Now, today, June 10, 2023. They've emailed him and texted him telling him that they are sending him to collections and black balling him from renting any U-Haul's in the future. The funny thing is, is that ***** doesn't even have a Driver's License. Too this date I still have not received a final copy of the contract to see what they are charging me for. My opinion is, that they did not check the truck in on time and they are trying to cover their mistake by contacting my neighbor instead of me. What I feel is a good solution to him and I both is a $5,000.00 settlement for the both of us each and they refund me my $100.66 to my account. These people are very incompetent employee's even the guy who checked me out with the truck. Besides all of this is I left my glasses in the truck, and they have not even let me know nor my neighbor *****. For once in my life, I want to see companies, like Modiacare and Lyft beside pay their dues for SCREWING WITH PEOPLE LIKEUS
