Around March 2023 I seeked for interlock companies that could offer me the best option. I decided to go with Alco alert interlock. A month later it started giving me issues with starting my vehicle and the gentleman who worked there had to reset the device and the car went back to normal, however. On may 9, 2023 on my 1st day at work the car completely shuts down on me. It seemed like there was no battery/ electricity. Alco alert couldn't help me at all since they were based out in ********** and I work in *************. However Alco alert was certain that it wasn't they're device nor connection that was triggering my vehicle's performance. I had to pay out of my own pocket $350 to tow the vehicle to my dealership and they did a full on test and concluded that the car was fine and that the interlock is the problem to my cars performance. I had to pay extra $430 to the dealership just for the diagnostic as well as $80 to have that Alco alert device removed so I could move on with a different company since this wasn't going to work out. Not to mention I lost 2 weekends of work because I use that vehicle to transport my business to the designated area of work. I lost around $4000 worth of work and I doubt I'll ever see that money. All I'm asking is reimbursement for those 3 bills which I have receipts. I've been contacting **** ever since then, and they always say they will pass on the information to higher up management and they ignored me ever since. No response at all from them. Please help out in Any way, since I feel like it's not my fault nor my vehicle's to be spending and loosing money I don't have.

I’m located in Las Vegas, nv and I have to have an ignition interlock device in my car and I had one installed by Alco Alert out of California. I had nothing but problems with the device and would get me and my car stuck. They closed their Las Vegas location and didn’t notify anyone so when I would have a device issue I would have to wait for them to send someone from California to fix it and wait up to a week with out being able to drive my car. I eventually terminated service with them and had another company installed in my car. After doing that alco alert still took money from my bank account for service and I called them and they said they would refund the money and never did. When I called back their customer service to follow up on the refund their phone numbers are now disconnected.

I am currently STRANDED on a job site in the middle of ************ California with no way to contact **** alert or receive any assistance on getting my vehicle started!!!! I called **** alert many times over the past few days only to be told that I have reached their answering service and they can only send out an urgent request for tech assistance. I have been sleeping in my car because I am miles from home and can’t start my car to get anywhere! I can’t afford a tow service. This company is a disgusting money making trope that does nothing but cause strife and turmoil for their customers

I had an Interlock device installed in my car on 11/01/22, and paid up $**5.00. Manufacturer; Alco Alert Interlock Inc, ***** ******* Rd Ste A-**, ***********, Ca *****, ###-###-####. Device name is Alco Alert Series 5000, model-AA516589. The installer is, ***** Automotive *** Mt. **** Ave, ******, Ca ***** Lic #ARD2****5, ###-###-####. My dispute here is that the interlock device is not working correctly. It has on 3 occassions locked me out, and not accept my test (blowing). I have kept a journal on this device, it has gone down 11/1, 11/15, and 11/17, 2022. Now here is the issue. Everytime this interlock goes down and locks me out, ***** Automotive charges 40.00-50.00 a pop! This machine I feel is rigged, its a money making device for both companies. I have asked for a NEW device that is in working order, and was yelled at from Rosa Salcedo at ***** Automotive. It locked me out on the 15th and my elderly Mother missed her Drs appt. I have been on the phone with Mandatory Action Unit in Sacramento, DMV Sacramento, Automotive Repair ###-###-####. NO ONE HAS HEPLED ME NOR SOLVED THE ISSUE!! Everyone has been so nasty and rude with me over the phone! In my DUI Program on 11/17/22, I heard stories from 6 others having the same issue. One woman had to have her vehicle towed home and paid over 300.00. I feel like like filing a class action against both parties here! I dont know where else to turn. I have asked to appeal this broken device in Court, I am desperate. I dont drive the care often, in fear of it locking me out, and having to take it in to have it calibrated again!!!!! I have to take it in before 11/22/22 for recalibration, another charge!! This is a joke! I am unemployed, single Mom!!! Can you plese help me!!!!! I beg you for help!!! These devices are truly rigged to go down so ***** Automotive makes a load of money off their customers!!!!!
