    Attached is an invoice from a purchase of a Brightech floor lamp which was purchased on June 20, 2020 per order number 113-4232789-1344208 in the amount of $76.20. I recently reached out to Brightech because their website says their items are covered under warranty for a period of five years. I made this purchase roughly 4.5 years ago. The adhesive/glue used to bind the velcro strips to the edge of the lighting panel had lost it's adhesive qualities and as a result the lamp is quite literally coming apart at the seams. I provided the invoice to the customer service representative who said that the item was only covered for three years (their website says five years) and that she'd be happy to SELL me replacement parts if they were available. Frankly, I was quite disappointed that their product was so shabbily constructed out of cheap material but even more disappointed that they would not stand by their product and honor their own warranty. Please help.

    Hello,

    Our apologies that this happened to your lamp and that you were not able to be assisted under warranty. We understand why there may have been a confusion regarding the warranty coverage period, as there are two separate coverage periods depending on the platform purchased though. As a special perk, purchases made directly through our website, **************************, receive a 5-year warranty. Purchases made on all other platforms receive warranty coverage for 3 years from the date of purchase.     Having been purchased on ******, the order in question is covered by our standard 3-year warranty and therefore ineligible for the 5-year warranty coverage requested. 

    We are sorry again that your lamp did come apart after such a short time and that the purchase was already too far out of the window to be covered, and that the offer to sell replacement parts did not satisfy your needs. We do hope that you will be able to purchase a suitable replacement for the lamp that broke, either through us or another manufacturer.
