Canopy energy installed solar panels on my roof. The system stopped working. Canopy energy filed bankruptcy a few years ago. The system is financed, and the finance company is refusing *** even refer anyone to service the system. All who have been effected by Canopy energy should get together and file a collective complaint/lawsuit against some government entity that allows finance companies to ignore customers who are losing money from a product financed by them, specifically when the product carries a warranty paid for by the customer. We should ask for a new law that forces finance companies to at least assist customers in fixing the problems, at least half way, where all associated additional costs are shared by the customer and finance copmany.Initial Complaint

i purchased solar from this company in 2021, I'm paying still on these solar panels, they were supposed to come with technical support if any damages occurred along with warranty for the panels, my inverter went down at the begging of the year in 2023 and i have-not been able to get hold of this company , so now i have no access to my inverter and my solar panels are not producing energy, i feel i have invested ***** dollars into something that is not working. this company has put no effort into contacting me and I want to know what are the next steps I feel like this company fraudulently sold product that doesn't work.Initial Complaint

I obtain solar panels from a company called: Canopy Energy, located in *** Nuys **********. The pounds cost to pass me $25,000. With an initial down payment of $6800.I have made various complaints about SCE bills that are approximately $178 a month with the solar panels. I made several attempts to contact them initially, and was told that it takes about a year for the panels to catch up to the electric bills.The last few times I contacted them I was promised that I would get more panels installed.The last time I called the company had went out of business. 2018 canopy energy installed not 100% of the panels but 70% making it unable to produce more than I read every complaint that this company has accumulated and frankly those are all of my complaints. Canopy installed my solar panels in 2019. The contracted with solar edge to install the electrical components (inverters) but our warrantee is with Canopy. Our system stopped producing electricity at the end of July and our trouble shooting has not worked.
None of their phone numbers work. That's it. We need them to respond and to fix the problem.
