On October 18th, 2024 I was rear ended. There were a few cars involved and people approaching me for my information. Somone took my phone number and this person that pretended to be from my ****** Roadside Assistance plan. They called me and text me numerous times and convinced me to get my car towed even though the car was drivable. They sent a flatbed tow truck and refused to tow my car to my home which was only a few blocks away. They towed it to this business **** legend in ********, **. They ended up charging my car insurance $4100 for the tow and 4 days of storage which will cause my insurance rates to go up later. My insurance company says they had to negotiate the price down to $4100 because they were trying to charge $5000. This company could not even give an itemized description of why they were charging so much money. I have had a car towed before and been charged storage fee for 3 weeks and it was not over $1600. This company is committing car insurance fraudulent transactions. I want them to refund my car insurance, Wawanesa, what they paid because in the end I will end up paying when they increase my insurance rates later.

The company received my car on Friday after Id called AAA roadside assistance after a one car accident involving a blown tire and possible other damage due to impact near the tire. **** Legend did not call on Saturday to give me any information. I called on Saturday afternoon. They would not give me any information about my car or their services and kept insisting that I file a claim and give them a claim number. I felt uncomfortable at that point because I would not need to file a claim for something small like a blown tire. I said, can you not give me any information about my car? He said, we can tell you on Monday and asked me at that point to send him my insurance declarations page. I did not send it.I called Monday morning and asked for information about my car. They again asked if I had a claim number. I told them that my expectation was that they would give me a detailed estimate of the damage, then I would decide what work I wanted done and I would decide if I wanted to file a claim. Then they told me it would be $300 for the estimate and if I went that route I had to pay cash or check. That seemed like a large amount, so I said I needed to think about it. Then they said, and we do charge a storage fee of $250 dollars a day. I decided that I didnt trust them, so I looked into having my car moved to a repair shop that I trusted. I organized for a tow truck to pick up my car that afternoon and take it to another shop. I told **** legend I would be moving the car to another shop. They reminded me of the storage fee. I said, lets see what we can figure out when I get there, considering you did not give me any information until today Monday and you were open Saturday. He said ok. There might be some wiggle room. When I got there they had my car in a storage yard and would not release it until I paid $1000. Told me theyd paid the tow truck driver $800 and now I owed that. Theres more, but it wont fit here.
