I hired Treeium in July of 2022 to renovate my master bathroom.
The total amount was to be $21,000.00 - I had given them a deposit total of $1,000.00 to hold and $10,000.00 when the job started.
They were to rip out the old bathtub and to renovate with a larger shower stall only.
First, the put the drain in the wrong area, we failed the initial inspection and closed the walls before we received the final inspection. They told me it would an additional $1100.00 to move the drain as they needed to go under the house. Total out of pocket at this time $12,000.00
After meeting with the PM numerous times, they didn't know how to install the shower ward, and contacted Pirch (Where I purchased 4 times for them to tell them what to do). They agreed this would work and then they didn't know how to do it.
The shower stall was not ADA compliant and was only 26"W without the glass doors, which would have made the interior 25".
The PM and I met again to go over how the tile would be applied and I found that he had not relayed that message to his workers. After 6 weeks of showing up 1 hour per day, I still was without a bathroom
I fired them in September 2022
`1) Shower and Tile not completed
2) Needed to re-hot mop, it was not correct
3) Electrical was not completed
4) Toilet was not installed.
I requested $2500.00 back for the work they didn't do and offered me $500.00. After speaking with the new contactor, it is mor appropriate for $4,000.00 in return for work uncompleted.
Treeium is aware that I wanted a refund of $2500.00 and I told them I would be filing a complaint.
I have not bashed them on social media, and will wait to have this resolved.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/12/23) */
We apologize for any misunderstanding but we have explained to ************ on multiple occasions why her reasoning is not correct as we are abiding by the schedule of payments per the contract. We did not ask her to pay tile, finish plumbing or paint- nor did she pay for them. We billed, and she only paid for items completed per contract, documented inspections and nothing else. This is why we have rejected her refund claims as she has only paid for work provided, no payment has been made for work not completed.
Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/12/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I see that they say they completed the work I paid for, however, NONE of the work was completed.
I paid $11,0000. For them to remove the old appliances in my bathroom.
The Plumbing was not completed, I am compiling all my new receipts for the work that had to be redone.
The shower was not ADA compliant, they don't talk about that and had to be redone, and never completed. The hot mopped shower they only never finished, which they didn't want to do again. This is when I fired them.
There was never a plan to review, the work, shoddy at best. I only want back for what they didn't do.
Hot Mopping, Tile Work and Plumbing and Electrical.
They didn't put the sink in or electrical why aren't they discussing that which I paid for.
If I can't resolve this issue here and be fair, I will have to sue them. I thought they would be reasonable but I was mistaken.
I went on line and they have thousands of complaints against them, so I am not hlthe first to be ripped off by Treeium.

I have a contract agreement with Treeium Energy dated April 21, 2022, for solar panel installation. The approximate date of Substantial Completion in the contract is August 31, 2022. As of October 17, 2022, Treeium still has not provided the solar system. There is lack of update from the contractor on the project status in the last three weeks. I have sent emails, and made multiple attempts to reach them via phone however there is no response from Treeium. All payments have been made promptly by me, and I ask the contractor to maintain communication with me and perform work with due diligence.Business Response

We apologize in the delay in responding. The contract is currently under Treeium Energy, with Treeium *** being the sister company so we needed to do some extra research. We will be reaching out the client with a response promptly.Customer Answer

The project remained four months behind for reasons for which owner or the city issuing the permit is not responsible for. Effective the same date, I have cancelled the contract for it failure to fulfill its obligation per the contract, lack of a clear plan forward to substantial completion, high turnover of personnel assigned to my project and no accountability, at times unresponsive to emails phone calls and text messages, and failure to adhere to HOA permit deadline. Also there is a sense of urgency to finish the solar work due to ********** Metering 3.0 going into effect in April 2023 which I am not sure Treeium can meet the deadline working under the current pace. A new contractor has been hired to finish my project. Treeium has been notified in an email on the contract termination, and to repay the amount previously paid by me plus cover the delay damages cost. I am waiting to hear back from Treeium.Business Response

On Jan. 18, 2021, we entered into a contract with the company for a Tesla Powerwall with installation scheduled to start Feb. 26, 2021. We rendered the down payment on Jan. 18, 2021 to start the project and a second payment June 9, 2021, when permits for the project were pulled.Since that time, no work has taken place. The company does not provide updates. I have had to reach out multiple times for any type of update, and the response has always been, "I'm waiting for my permit person." Two weeks ago (the last week of September), I was finally able to get the project manager to agree to send someone to the house to take new measurements based on what she explained were changes in the fire code with the promise to start installation. Since that conversation, there have been no updates, and she does not answer or return my calls. We've been incredibly patient during the process, but at this point I feel as though we're being swindled. Treeium has had $21,400 of my money for two years and has done nothing. I need immediate resolution either in the form of installation or project cancelation and refund of my money. Thank you very much for your time.Initial Complaint

************** FINANCIAL ABUSE --- BEWARE!!!
I *************************************** bought a house in April 20021 with the intention of adding a second story. I contacted TREEIUM which advertised as being a full remodeling construction firm.
In April 2021, I had the MISFORTUNE of meeting *************** from TREEIUM, and the con job started.
I have been waiting for the project to start for 18 months and I had paid 22,000$ in total, just waiting to sign the contract for construction this summer.
**********, the architect had SUPPOSEDLY drawn a plan, which was submitted to the City ************ engineering was done, and after the approval, in May as stated by Treeium, I paid 8,000$.
TREEIUM said the plan was approved and made me pay (according to the contract)
To my surprise, on August 10th, *************** and ********** came to see me, and let me know that the city did not approve the plan that was done by the architect.
I ******************* knew that I was being robbed, alone and scared, did not argue, and just listened. Everything that I was told before, and paid for, was NEVER done.
I repeatedly asked *************** and ********** to show the plan or documents presented to the city via various emails, and they refused to show them to me.
My emails are completely ignored by the architect. I never saw the real plan. The architect showed me a drawing on a regular page of paper, but nothing else. Throughout the process, I maintained contact, raised many questions, and felt intimidated. After more than a year and a half of being duped, I finally decided to seek legal counsel.
NEVER, TREIUM had submitted any plan, engineering works, or any other documents to the City ************
They just stole $22,000, and never did anything.
They just came on August 10th, audaciously told me all these lies, and think that they have the right to keep my money?
This is GROSS ***** FINANCIAL ABUSE. I was told ************************** to report TREEIUM.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/09/22) */
At this time we have to deny the allegations stated by ****************. Treeium has been working diligently on this complex project for many months. We are trying to work with the client (the client is not answering) to come to the best solution. We are waiting for the client to let us know when we can meet and finalize the next steps. Attached you can see a screenshot of the payments made with the descriptions. We also have documentation from the architect and the plan checker with further more to prove that we've provided the service she has paid for.
Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/09/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
TREEIUM is just being deceitful. They never presented anything to the City *********** for plan approval, because they knew that it would not be possible. They lied to me, told me that they would start construction over the summer. They charged me thousands of dollars "Upon City approval" engineering work which was never done, then asked me to pay the balance of 30,000$ of a contract for work they NEVER did.
Last January, even before I met the architect *****, TREEIUM had already taken 7,000$ from me, for just taking measurements. Many companies had taken measurements and only one charged me 1,000$ as a deposit. When I decided not to hire them, my 1,000$ was refunded.
However, last January when I was being impatient with TREEIUM (before the FAKED drawing was presented by the architect, I told *************** that I was not happy with was going on, he reminded me that I signed a $30,000 contract with TREEIUM, and could not get out of it.
As per the City *********** nothing was done. This is a Historic Hillside area, and there are certain criteria to follow, and the company had never taken the steps to address the codes and regulations set by the City.
No engineering works that I paid for were ever done. This is not something that can be done remotely. Even if I were not home, I would have known that someone had stepped on my property. They are lying, and are trying to steal my money, and taking advantage ********************. They are THIEVES. This company is a BIG FRAUD.
Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2022/10/26) */
There has been no fraud ******** abuse committed by Treeium. Treeium has made every attempt to reach out to Ms. ******** to rectify any issues she believes there to be with the plans however she refuses to meet, and resorts to writing untrue allegations. As stated many times before we are more than willing to meet with her to come to an amicable resolution as she wishes to not proceed with the contract but there needs to be an understanding that many hours went into this project as that seems to be where the misunderstanding is occurring.
Consumer Response /* (4200, 17, 2022/11/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No, I do not accept TREEIUM's response. Not only it is a fraud, but it is also as well intimidation ******************************
I have many emails sent to the architect asking him to see the plan he submitted to the City ***********, but he never responded. He disrespectfully ignored every single one of them. I have text messages from TREEIUM, ***************** telling me to stop asking for the plan, as the architect will not answer me. Isn't this intimidation? Now, they really want to talk to me "on the side," to further intimidate me?
They need to provide the plan that I paid for "Upon City Approval", and the "Engineering Works" (topography, soil study, and survey, that supposedly were done, and I paid for. If they made me pay for services not rendered, this is "PURE FRAUD", and "****** FINANCIAL ABUSE". This company stole $22,008 from me, and I do not have anything to show what I paid for.
Many companies have made more visits to solicit the contract to renovate the house, but none has taken $22,008, fees for approval from the City ***********, which never existed, and engineering works that were never done. TREEIUM (****************) made visits to lie to me, and to defraud me, because he feels that I was an easy prowl, *************************, and there was never anyone around to question his intentions. He also sent many holiday wishes: "Happy Easter", "Happy Independence Day" "Happy Mother's Day", etc...Never missed any occasions to send his wishes. Pure tactics of a "REAL CON MAN". Because, for sure, he knew all along that I was not getting ANYTHING from TREEIUM for my $22,008.
I want a FULL REFUND from this company. I did not get anything from the contract they made me sign.Initial Complaint

Job was contracted to be completed September 2021. Still no completion in site. Workers stop working. Unreliable, vindictive, unprofessional. No known contractor with license has been to the job site. Endless delays, refusing to comply with approved plans. Demanding payment for uncompleted work. Sending incompetent labors, having to redo the same items multiple times. Only returning to work after multiple work stoppages then when posting on Yelp they suddenly returned any previous contact. Only to have them damage, toilet, not connect stove vent, run over 10 feet of dryer vent vertically into the roof 5 feet from planned stacked installation. Refusing to relocate dryer vent. Screwing through the top of the cabinet hung Microwave with wood, and metal screws penetrating the top of the microwave. None of the Manufacturers Provided machine screws were used. Instead they just screwed through the unit without any concern for the electronics in the unit. Warranty is now void. 2 of the 4, incorrect screws were snapped off at the head. The broken screw heads may fall at any time. They are on the front of the unit meaning that if the Microwave falls, it may fall onto the new stove or on the person operating and cause bodily injury if hot food items are inside.
2 Flat tires, not completing contracted work.
11 months past contracted completion date.

The workmanship on the job has been so poor that just about every single aspect, whether it be a window that's not square a wall that's not level a door that's not properly installed, cabinet doors that fall off in your hand, plumbing that had to be redone, hot water heater that doesn't heat. Most every project
Had to be repaired once or twice. I have no confidence i. This company. Now the electrical panel is
Constantly tripping breakers.
Refrigerator, bathroom, hot water heater, microwave. The only way the breaker does jnot trip is if I unplug the appliances.
I have sent an email they have not responded. I hired an electrician to get the hot water heater working. I have spent over 8000 so far to just get the project close to finished. Now
The electrical issue has stopped my progress
Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2023/01/03) */
We have been trying to get in contact with ************ prior to September to finalize his project and collect the balance owed. ******* delivered quality workmanship and we are only now hearing about the of issues he claims on the project. However, with that being said, we will work with ************ to wrap this up in an amicable manner.
Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2023/01/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
*******'s claims that I have not responded are false. I have text and emails to corroborate. I have multiple pictures indicating the lack of any craftsmanship, supervision, or quality control. Every door and window had to be redone. The one that wasn't is still not square or level. I'm now having issues with electrical and had to hire an additional electrician to fix some of the issues that they failed in once again. They consistently misrepresent the truth, and I have photos to prove their lack of professionalism Craftsmanship, and any concern for resolving in an amicable manner. My last email to them requested the balance that they claim I owe. Of course, as in other past emails that can be shared to the Better Business Bureau, they respond without addressing, the initial question. They have threatened me in the past. The owner **** ******** told me he knew where I worked and where I live, and I better takeoff my review off yelp Again, I can continue, but the pictures will paint a better picture. they recently said that they would release the balance, although it doesn't cover the cost of incurred, nor the damage done to my automobiles and property due to their lack of any license contractor or subcontractor ever being on the property. They expect me to sign a release, stating that I am satisfied with the work when obviously, that is once again a a tall tale to put it nicely. They blatantly misrepresent the truth. Once again, I'll be happy to submit any of the photos. Based on my multiple conversation with subcontractors, their modus operandi of hiring said subcontractors, they tell them they have a month or two months worth of work. They are paid a job completion rate, and since there is no supervision, they come out to the property, do their work only to find that it was done incorrectly and they are not paid to repair the mistakes due to lack of supervision or correct instruction of what the job requires. Meaning any mistakes do not come out of the bottom line of treeium.
