**Consumer ************************** purports to enhance individuals' financial well-being by advocating the utilization of money as a means to achieve personal contentment. However, my experience with this entity contradicts such claims. Over the course of three years, I have maintained a loan arrangement with them, diligently settling nearly 95% of the outstanding balance. Nevertheless, a seemingly minor delay in payment application, occurring just one day after the stipulated due date, resulted in the unjust classification of my account as delinquent.Notably, the company imposes restrictions on same-day payments, exacerbating the situation. Despite promptly communicating the circumstances surrounding a delayed payment, attributed to my illness and subsequent hospitalization, the company's representatives displayed inflexibility in considering a good faith adjustment, thereby exacerbating the financial strain on my family due to the ensuing adverse credit remark.While debt consolidation can be an advantageous strategy when undertaken with reputable partners, this particular company's practices are regrettably characterized by ethical lapses and inadequate customer service standards. Continued engagement with them poses a substantial risk of exacerbating financial hardships rather than alleviating them, particularly evident in instances where unforeseen circumstances impede timely payments.In response to these grievances, I am actively pursuing resolution through formal channels, including disputing the adverse credit notation and lodging a complaint with the relevant state attorney general's office.Happy Money, Inc. DO NOT take out a loan with this company. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had. I've asked for financial hardship assistance, due to being laid off, being unemployed for months, and having to take a lower-paying position to make ends meet. I cannot afford the monthly payment amount and have asked to get lowered payments until I'm able to find myself in a better position financially. They have given me the runaround for months telling me I could only skip payments and to ask about financial assistance in the future. I've finally used up all of my skip payment options, chatted with an agent about the next steps, and specifically chose chat so I could have a paper trail of the correspondence. It was a terrible experience but I expected nothing less. They of course denied me help and tried to shame me for the amount of time I've requested assistance (which is honestly comical), and then when I asked for a copy of the correspondence to be sent to me, they told me I needed to manually download it myself from chat but their system does not give you the option to do that. So I needed to take 20+ screenshots of the tiny chat window to make sure I had a copy. Awful company with the least helpful staff who will just give you the runaround instead of answering your questions straight. Make sure you keep a copy of all your correspondence if you find yourself accepting a loan from them. If you're considering it but haven't signed the dotted line... just turn around and work with a credit union.Happy Money, Inc. Response

After taken a loan out with this company I realized I'd made a big mistake. Their record keeping is horrendous, I was having to call ever month to have something settled. I finally decided to just paid the loan off in full and close the line of credit. After paying the amount in full before the billing cycle I was still charged instrest. Now they have messed up my credit score by flagging my account as delinquent. It's been paided off for 3 months... even the bogus instrest for a month where my account was at $0 owned. If you're a current customer screen shot everything, your payment history, your balance, conversations; you'll eventually need it.Happy Money, Inc. Response

This company was so much better when it was payoff loans. Since it became happy money its been nothing but problems. I requested to skip a payment-nothing, no communication or information, there is absolutely zero way to look for information you have submitted whether for requests or questions. My guess is so that you cant use any information against them. Just an all around shady, shifty, shiesty organization that really has a less than zero score for customer service. I have literally never talked to a helpful person within this organization. Not one time. Im guessing they pay awful because their employees are some of the worst people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I cannot wait to just pay this stupid useless loan off and get out from underneath this horrible company. You are better off using any other company for your needs-seriously stay away from happy money at all costsHappy Money, Inc. Response

The worst experience on a personal loan!!! I applied for a $30k loan and was approved after submitting and re-submitting requirements multiple times because of the incompetence of the processors. Finally after 2 months of consistent follow-*** loan was approved and a DocuSign was sent over from the lender with loan terms and amount, which I promptly signed. Till this day I still have to see the loan funded, and even after multiple calls and follow-*** all I am being told is that the engineers are investigating as to why loan hasn't been funded. Wow, just wow; what a bunch of incompetent folks you have where no one can seem to come up with a resolution. For all I care at this point you can keep that money, and a warning to borrowers, steer clear of Happy Money, sadly I can't give a zero rating!!!Happy Money, Inc. Response

I filed a request with Happy Money to change my bank payment information from one account to another to pay my monthly bill...They state in their terms that this can take up to 5 business days to complete. While it has only been 1 business days (4 actual days), I find the practice of making an ELECTRONIC change to a payment method taking longer than a few minutes unacceptable. This is simply a method to ensure that its members do not pay on time in the event they have to change their payment method quickly. It is 2023 and most, if not all of the other creditors I have are able to make this change immediately, yet Happy Money insists that it process takes 5 business days for "processing". Processing, what processing? its literally a field in a database that should be able to be updated automatically. What's actually more concerning is if there is a person manually entering in this information to each customer profile. If that is the case, then I worry about security and the person having access to my personal information...What stops them from writing down my account numbers. To be clear, we can send an autonomous rover to Mars, yet to change a payment method takes 5 business days. This is madness, its a joke and these practices NEED TO STOP!Happy Money, Inc. Response

I took out a $4000+ loan with Happy Money. INITIALLY, there were great. I had surgery and one of the reps offered to defer my payment for two months. However, things took a turn FOR THE WORSE! "I" changed my account info and "I" initiated the process to inform HM. We exchanged emails for nearly two months. I provided them with the exact info they requested (i.e., screenshots of my bank statement showing acct/routing #s, etc. Each and every time I sent info, they stated it wasn't "official". Really? This is what you are asking. As I sent emails stating my frustrations with their "delay tactics", my info got routed to ****. She sent me a request via Docusign. I completed it and sent it back. This took all but two (2) days. Why wasn't this implemented in the beginning? Why was I subjected to two months of grueling emails? I never left any indication that I couldn't pay. I can't tell a company how to run their business, but their tactics are EXTREMELY QUESTIONABLE! Who make the executive decisions there? I thought everything was great. NO! I received a request from Experian that I had been reported 60 days late via Happy Money! They wanted me to make a lump sum payment that included the two months that they took to "accept" my new account info. WT**! No one is taking ownership, but I know **** reported this info to Experian! "I" initiated the request to stay in good standing and what do they do, they *** me! As a result, they charged off the account, recently, and now my credit is f***d! I have been trying to maintain a clean report for years and now my report is shot to h*ll! I am f***d! THIS P'D ME THE *** OFF AND I AM EXPRESSING HOW I TRULY FEEL ABOUT THIS COMPANY! I am NOT going to take this laying down! I have a legal team looking into this. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!! Happy money purchased my loan...My story: during the pandemic i requested a deferment on my loan payments, which extended my payments of $594.00 a mo. out to 4 mos No problem paid the 4 payments of $594. end of loan...then they took a balloon interest payment of $1900 without my permission. Messed up my checking account. They did refund it...but told me I had 30 days to pay an interest payment of $1900 or will show late in credit report. Awful situation now I have to figure out a way to pay $1900 to save my credit. This truly creates a hardship! I have been a faithful with my payments for 36 months and don't deserve to be put in this situation. I truly hate they purchased my loan. They charged me more interest on top of the interest already paid, plus more interest...I would not recommend this companyHappy Money, Inc. Response
