I recently had a French door and upstairs' windows installed in my house. I the worker did a fine job, my complaint is when it came to pay the balance, an extra 300.00 was taken out of my bank account. I used a debit, I felt was as good as cash without handing the worker the remaining balance. I wish C**** would have told me that any type of card used would incur a 3% charge. I would have gave him a check! Janet his phone girl was not very nice when I asked her about the overcharge. On the contract it just states only a credit card would incur the charge but she said any card. So I am writing this for the next buyer to be aware that if you want to use a debit card "Don't" write a check instead!! save yourself $300.00 if your balance is $5,000.00.

This company consistently lied to us, did shoddy work, and tried to charge us extra 660$ to fix problems they created. They consistently blame the customer - like telling us we broke the new window sash- and then explaining how to close window by pushing inwards forcefully on the whole sliding part. They installed things incorrectly like:
    1. Windowsill wood had a big crack and a hole from a wood knot- they said they fixed this but never did.
    2. Installed only 3 out of four moldings around 12 windows
    3. Left big holes inside walls without filling with foam
    4. One window won’t close properly. They said this was due to “misuse” and yet explained how we need to stand in middle and push inwards on sliding window to fully close and lock it.
    5. Mismeasured one window and had to wait an extra month
    6. Tried to put a cracked window in but we caught them during the process.

    Hello,
I am a Personal Executive Assistant to my CEO/COO, we purchase motorized blinds from the company for the new house. We spent over 20k for motorized blinds that "we, me, I, Them", have to service. (ourselves) (cheap material)
Let's just say that the motorized blinds have cheap parts. Let's add that Window Design did not do a good job of installation. (one of the bedrooms install was not good at all) the doors don't open up completely bc the mount for the French doors are too long. Measurements were incorrect.
I sent in a request for the 4th time for someone to send maintanance for the blinds after the blinds stopped working and to fix blinds that came loose (apart).
(Let's add that Window Design did not do a good job of installation).
This company was hard to contact for maintenance, I was told to send in pics of the blinds to an email address, I sent this information 3 to 4 times. Arthur came out the first time and took pictures and measurements. (Then left)
Arthur came by this am for a second time (after months of trying to reach them) and I was told by Arthur the maintenance guy that I had to purchase AA batteries and I had to replace them myself. (I did go and purchase the batteries). A***** replaced the batteries for me. (He showed up with not enough batteries after being told the blinds didn't work). (Knowing what the issue was)
Buyer beware, we pay enormous amounts for window treatment.
Make sure you read your contracts and what they entail and make sure you look at the companies ratings.
Window Design did not do their due diligence on providing good customer service and quality material for the price we spent.

We order windows from WDG back in 2021 there were late on installment, lost few windows on the way, I give them credit since it’s was a Covid time, but 2 years late when we hit rain over windows float inside, I attempted to rich WDG they refused to take responsibility for the damages and offer me to pay for someone to come and look at the issue, and then I would still have to pay for repairs, I’m sorry they promised life time warranties where is it ? They just scam people left and right apparently I’m not only one who has issue after the rain and they bring same response that it’s my fault that I didn’t take care of them properly I’m sorry but I don’t expect to pay originally over 8,000 for the window that I will only last me 2 years.
