      Do not rely on Amerihome customer service. Go through regulatory channels to apply pressure so you are not overpaying. In my case - I've received two escrow adjustment/shortage statements from Amerihome in the last 5 months. The first for slightly more than $900 and a $47 increase in monthly payment. That makes sense given the county's reassessments at the time. The second arrived on April 9, 2024 - claiming I owed more than $3,100 and, if paid, would increase my monthly payment by about $180. All in, with the shortage they claim I owe, and the payment increases - it adds up to more than $5,000 over what I expected to pay. My prop. tax appeals attorney wrote back to me basically saying the shortage is way disproportionate to the tax increase on my property. He's very dubious of their calculation. In 2019, they mailed a notice to me, claiming my property taxes projected to increase 300% - totally erroneous based on the statement later provided by the county assessor. I was able to rectify this. Clearly - there's a pattern here. My advice to anyone here is to not rely on just Amerihome's customer service to reconcile these shortage matters. Research the regulatory agencies with oversight of mortgage servicers and copy them on all communications. Be vigilant. From what I am reading, people are getting fleeced.

      Agree! WORST customer service, billing practices ever!!! Very shady company! Will be refinancing elsewhere ASAP! Our loan was "bought" /transferred to them also. Trying get through their phone system is ridiculous!! Mail payment priority mail/certified so we can track it (which of course is added money to mortgage payment in a sense). They take at minimum a week to post payment after receiving and has been 12 days in a few instances! We have also had unresolved issues with their billing as they had a fee on 10 months ago . We included payment on check mailed and they continue trying to bill for it!!! Their accounting is horrible! Have sent them proof of payment several times .no result!!!

      They are a terrible company that is inconsistent in their billing. My bill changed over 400 dollars in one month, even though I had been overpaying for years. They claimed it was due to tax increases, even though they had sent a refund for the overpayment of the previous year's escrow. To remove escrow, you have to send a signed letter or fax, and they will review it and send a response by mail. The customer representative couldn't even send an email with the address. My loan was sold to them, so I never had a choice but to deal with this company.

      Well they paid a premium to an insurance company I canceled and paid the the new insurance company, next thing you know its my fault they nilly willied my money out without my permission. They've upped my mortgage by $450 up to over $31×× mnth stating my mortgage is short and will be paid by may so my payment will go back down to $27××, well I just got mail that says now my escrow is short another almost $1500 how?! So no their upping my mortgage to over 3k and are not bringing it down like promised. Crooks. I'll be refinancing asap. They bought my loan....ugh Their also not counting my homestead for my taxes....I got a refund! Smfh. All their numbers are wrong and numbers don't lie....I'm wondering if someone in the company is stealing my escrow money....seems it's not hard for them to pay whoever they feel like with my money without my approval.

      Horrible company. Sent in my mortgage via priority mail and cashier check. Have receipt for check and tracking to confirm that it was delivered to their payment processing po box and they still gonna call me asking me about my payment that they received on Feb 7th its now the 21st what kind of company loses their customers payments or tries to act like they never got them. Don't go through amerihome for your mortgage or if your mortgage gets bought by them refinance

      I've had the displeasure of speaking with AmeriHome customer support over five times this week. They also sent a goon to my front door to "take pictures of the house" to intimidate me, which I've since learned is illegal harrassment. Their support staff either flat-out lie to you, or they're so poorly trained that they don't realize that they give out inconsistent and contradictory information. Person 1: You can pay us in three different ways! Person 2: You can only pay us by cashiers check mailed to our office. Person 3: We've removed that restriction from your account! Person 4: We can't remove this restriction from your account I don't know why anyone would have told you that they can. You can pay by cashier's check or money order, but if you send a money order and the amount you send doesn't match the amount you owe exactly, we'll return it. Person 5: We can temporarily remove a restriction from your account if you contact the non-existent customer support of your online bank and have someone at the company write somebody at AmeriHome a letter stating that some failed bank draft attempts were my bank's fault, and snail-mail it in so that it can be lost or promptly ignored just in time for foreclosure proceedings to get started!

      Received a delinquent tax bill due Jan 5th I paid it out of pocket, secured messaged AmeriHome because it’s difficult to get a human on the phone, I was told they paid the tax bill already and was told to send the bill I got through there and received an email that It would be reviewed on the 25th of Jan and today Feb 6 I received another AmeriHome Sales call trying to get me to refinance but nobody called in regards to property taxes bill being delinquent or what went wrong and how they are going to fix it, I got transferred from sales to servicing and rep said sorry that they will start taking it next year, I will not be doing business with them once I can refinance.

      Sells loan out from under you, forces you to be late. notification comes, sent 25 days after the fact. Company tried calling me out based on location, I live in Alabama and left communist California. To farther edit, Customer service is a no go. Only chat options available. disconnected multiple times. I know it was not an internet error, reliability status is heavily monitored. With only digital connectivity to a company, notification of loan transfers should be emailed at the bare minimum.

      I've had this company for about seven months with a 30 year fixed rate mortgage and they raised by mortgage up $150 without looking at my current lower property taxes. My 2024 property taxes went down 25% a d they refuse to acknowledge the current factual information but would rather continue overcharging my mortgage. When I called last month about the hike they lief and said there wasn't escrow for insurance at closing so my closer called and told them that something was amiss and my mortgage was too excessive. They are not intelligent lazy and very non profesional .God help me!
