I started my health journey earlier this year. What drew me to Dr. ******************** was his approach and his story about losing his mother. I have grandkids and need to stay healthy to watch them grow and be a part of their lives. They are my why! I have always known there was something else to my diabetes, I am who one would call a skinny diabetic so I know it was more than a weight issue for me. Having a team who actually listened to me made all the difference. Was it difficult? At times yes, but the staff is so supportive throughout the whole process. I started at an 8.6 A1c, blood sugars averaging *******'s, and on 2 diabetic medications. Not to mention a blood pressure medication as well. I can say with 100% enthusiasm that I am OFF all of my medications and feel more alive than ever! My A1c is at 5.7!! This team and this practice have changed my life in ways I could not imagine and I am forever grateful.

Very unprofessional. They kept sending unwanted emails even though I have asked them to stop sending me emails on multiple occasions. Their email said, "Reply DND to no longer receive these emails" but they DO NOT honor your request to stop them from sending you emails. They don't even have an unsubscribe button or link to remove yourself from their mailing(SPAM) list. These people seem very shady and from the sound of the other reviews this seems to be a SCAM.

I signed up for the 6-8 month platinum plan for $14,000. A personalized treatment plan that for me included 10 months of supplements provided by the Botelho group.Their premise is good but they fall short at retesting to back up their premise. They put you through a drastic diet that will lower A1c without any other intervention(supplements, shakes) and then tout that their actions are curing you. They are an expensive diet coach, that's it. The scientific method evaluates an intervention by testing a baseline, then after an intervention, retesting to see if the intervention had any effect. They are not interested in retesting your toxicology screen to see if a ton of supplements and shakes had any effect on the numbers. Their premise. was that toxins in my body were interrupting my metabolism, blocking the doorway in my cells for glucose to get in contributing to my elevated blood glucose. Why would you not test toxins again? The explanation was "no doubt your toxins load would be lessened because we see the changes in your bloodwork". That's it. Nothing specific. I feel like they had my money and was not interested in spending more money on lab work. Their explanation didn't add up for me. They looked at inflammation markers like ferritin, CRP, homocysteine, TSH for the first two lab tests and then made inferences about the following lab tests. They stated that my numbers were trending down but that infers multiple data points when they only tested multiple markers twice. I also felt like my questions were not answered promptly nor were the answers sufficient in content.I have to say that my experience was really disappointing. To work so hard for 11 months and then have the Botelho group so unenthusiastic about my last A1c is confusing. When I asked about an A1c, they responded a week later with "We could just send you out for A1c." Makes me think that they are not genuine nor heartfelt. I'd save my money and spend it elsewhere.

Dr. Botelho has helped me a lot! Yes, you have to change your diet - this is hard but a good thing. Yes, you may have to take pills, liquids, and shakes, however this helped me detox and I have lost 60 lbs. in 6 months. I learned what foods I should avoid that were toxic to my system and causing inflammation. My regular doctor also lowered my blood sugar and blood pressure medicine in half. My A1c started at 9.4 and is down to 5.8. I feel fantastic. Yes, it does cost, but my health is worth every penny! My energy is way up and I am now able to exercise when I couldn't before. Walking over 1.5 miles is amazing! His staff has been very helpful and kind.
