    I sought care from Dr. *********. She insisted that I commit to a 'package' of treatments. I informed her that my case was very complicated due to a serious car accident, multiple surgeries plus chronic Lyme and Lupus. I was not comfortable with commiting to a 'package'. Appointments went from 7.23.21 through 10.4.21, when I stopped going to her office three times a week as I was only getting worse. Dr. ********* had spoken to me about a deep tissue therapist who she personally sought care from. I made an appointment with that therapist and realized enormous relief with just one visit. To this day, I continue to see that therpaist as needed. After two and 1/2 months of not seeing Dr. *********, I was contacted by her office and told I needed to come in, for an appointment and pay my bill. I said please let me know the amount I owe you and promised to stop by as soon as possible. (I live an hour away from her office.) When I arrived to pay the bill, Dr. ********* strongly suggested I get an adjustment, so I did. The front desk told me I owed $400 so I gave her a cash payment of $400 and she said everything was clear. A few weeks later, I began getting calls to pay the remainder of my bill. Dr. ********** said I commited to a series of treatments of which I received and I owed her. I explained that I was informed everything was paid. I then received a statement that, to me, made no sense as I was told everything was paid. Dr. ********** emailed me and called me and insisted that I owe her. She would not listen to the fact that I was told everything was paid. I did not hear from her until Sept 2022 when she charged my debit card. I called my bank and reported that it was not an authorized charge. Now she has filed a small claims suit against me with a court date of Nov 1, 2022. I feel her 'package pricing' is confusing if not a deceptive practice and only insures her an income without concern for the patient's benefit.
