  Very professional! Kept me updated through the entire process. Was honest about the prices and the amount of date they could recover. I will certainly use them again if I need to recover data. You can bet I learned my ****** on back **** I had moved locations and was cleaning up files on the external hard drive. I broke my wrist went to put it up and dropped it!   300DDR was fantastic to work with, it was really comforting to know that no matter the level of repair the price was known upfront and transparent. They are very clear that some repairs might need additional cost for a donor drive but this is very different than the other guys who won't give a price til they already have your data in hand! They also have the 'Chances' form that actually gives an estimate on your chances of recovery with your particular drive and error information, much better than anyone else who again will only wait till they have your drive before going over any of this. As a matter of fact, my results(82% recovered) are almost exactly what was estimated in the feedback I received from the chances form (*****% on average for my drive and conditions) but of course your mileage may vary.Hopefully I don't have this issue again and start taking backups more seriously but if I do I know where I'm going to send it!

  $300 Data Recovery is great! Obviously the affordable cost is the best thing about the company but what truly makes that cost so much better is the confidence of knowing they are giving you the exact same results as the companies that build and sell the hard drives that fail. $300 Data Recovery's commitment to the customer is impressive in a few ways, one of which is explaining each step of the process and not making a move without your consent. However, the most impressive aspect of the company is their absolute honesty. In the last year I've had two different external hard drives fail in such a way that I could only use them as expensive paperweights unless they could be fixed. Full disclosure, the first drive I sent to them they were only able to recover 68% of the data but the charge for the recovery was under $500!!! What made this situation less frustrating was that they took the time to keep in the loop so there were no surprises. It was apparent to me that it didn't matter what company had my drive, I was still only going to get 68% of the data from it. The second drive I sent to them they were able to recover 99% of the data and the charge was under $800!!! The only reason the cost was more expensive for the second drive was because they initially weren't able to recover ANY of the data from the drive at which point they gave me a couple of options, with an additional fee they could try again or they could send it back to me instead. I reached out to them with questions and the technician who was in charge of working on my hard drive personally responded to me with five to six paragraphs of information. His response was upfront and honest with the fact that there was a very good possibility that my drive could not be fixed. He also never pressured me into thinking or feeling that throwing more money at this was a guarantee in any way. He laid down the facts to both sides of the situation and let me decide. This is how companies should treat customers.

  It isn't possible to rate this company's capabilities since I have yet to receive my recovered data and new disk drive. I paid the extra money to get a receipt signature for the package and according to the ************ it was delivered even though I didn't sign for it. I contacted $300 Data Recovery and their response has been almost nothing; telling me that it was up to me to find the missing package. They only insured the package for $100.00 even though the replacement disk drive cost was much more than that, not to mention the recovery service cost. So now I am out the data that was on the damaged disk drive, the damaged disk drive, and the new replacement drive. The reason for the One Star rating is that there is not a "Zero Star Rating." and you must make a star selection to be able to select the Post button.

We recommended checking with family members or neighbors who might have signed for it. Had you written back or called us to explain you checked and the package was still not found, we would have gladly resent the data from our backup at no extra cost.Please reach out to our support team directly so we can promptly resolve this and ensure you receive your data. We already offered to resend this data to you at our cost, offering you a free replacement drive.   We have contacted this customer numerous times via email and phone calls and he has not responded even though we can see that our emails have been read. We have already re-transferred the data and are ready to send him another copy ASAP. It appears he did receive his package (as it was signed for and delivered to his house, and he's not responding to our numerous emails or phone calls), but he has not updated this review.

  $300 Data Recovery provided preliminary, free assessment of recovery likelihood based upon drive model and description of problem. Vastly increased my confidence in their capabilities. All communications were thorough and timely. Greatly appreciated description of identified issues. Turnaround was less than 2 weeks and pricing structure fair and well explained. The other positive reviews on BBB echo my experience with 300DDR.

  Wow! These guys were better than I ever imagined. I admit I was apprehensive when I first came across this company in a ****** search. Other companies were quoting $1500 to recover the data (irreplaceable family photos) on my hard drive. $300 Data Recovery quoted me $400, so I wondered if it was some kind of scam. That was definitely not the case.Why I'm giving five stars:1. Great price.2. Frequent communication regarding the status of my data recovery every step of the way.3. Speedy processing even though I requested only standard processing.4. I paid for them to transfer the data onto one of their storage devices. I assumed they would just transfer it to a cheap thumb drive. But no! They transferred it to a new ******* portable drive.Amazing!!

  The level of communication that $300 Data uses before you even send them a drive means you know exactly what you can expect from their service offerings. Then, they keep you informed every step of the way so you know what is happening with your data and when it is being worked on and when it will be returned to you. This effort on their part really helped reduce my stress about my failed drive. All of this for what I consider a reasonable price.
