The Creditor placed the Debtors account with SynCom on September 15, 2023. The Debtor would not have a contract with SynCom. Synergetic Communications has been trying to contact me about a debt from 2022. They claim that I owe $830 for an unpaid dental bill. The bill is for an unspecified procedure at *********** of ************. They have my former name (********** *****) as the owner of the debt. I believe that my dental bills are paid in full. I've never been notified by my dentist that I owe anything. Additionally, Synergetic Communications has been discussing this debt with my mother. I do not list my mother as an emergency contact. I have no idea how they got her phone number. She has received texts about the debt and discussed the debt on the phone with a Synergetic Communications representative.Initial Complaint

Synergetic has been calling pretty much every day from the beginning of June.I was spending time with my family on 4th they phoned again. I spoke with one of their representatives June 25. The representative noted I owed a dental bill from 2019. I requested they send me a letter as I refused to pay over the phone to some random person ringing out of the blue about a 2019 bill. I received a letter in the mail.The letter noted "As of 01/31/2019, you owed: $****** Between 01/31/2019 and today: $ ****** Total amount of the debt now: $283.93".This was from a dentist who had been paid in full, Acahti Dental. At no point did this dental office reach out to me about owing money, reason being there was nothing to pay, they had been paid in full. I digress,Tuesday July 1 I sent a registered letter with proof of payment. I am still getting calls.Today, I emailed them with proof of payment (again). My father just passed away 2/24 this is the first 4th without him, our family was all together remembering him, only to be harassed again, it is 7/5 and still being harassed for a bill that has been paid. I am terrified that they will ruin my credit for a bill that has already been paid.The reps are rude, they assume guilt and do not want to hear that they are wrong. I reached out to BBB on this matter a couple of days ago.I apologize about being overzealous but this is making me ill during an already stressful time. If they can bully people for bills that have already been paid what else will they do, feels like extortion. Ruined credit unless I pay for a services twice.If they have already tainted my credit report, I would hope it could be fixed.Business Response

***************************(******) claims that ************************* **** (SynCom) is attempting to collect a debt for Acahti Dental (Creditor), which she already paid.
The Creditor placed ******' account with it on June 21, 2024. SynCom has ceased collecting the account, closed the account in its office, requested that its trade line be deleted from the credit bureaus, and returned the account to the ************************. ****** will not receive any further communication from SynCom regarding this matter.Customer Answer

I am getting numerous phone calls from a collections agency, Synergetic Communications (CB Merchant Services. When I returned the call, a person named ***** wanted me to verify my personal information. When I told him I wasn't giving out any information, and asked what it was in regards to, he said he couldn't help me, and hung up.I checked my credit report, and there is nothing on it either from this company or any other company where I am in collections status.Business Response

The previously mentioned business has been calling and sending letters to my home for myself to pay a bill of $56.58. CB Merchant Services is claiming I have an unpaid bill from November of 2021, but after calling my ************** for which I receive my services, they stated I do not have any outstanding payments. I informed CB Merchant Services of this and yet they wanted me to tell them my banking account information over the phone to make the payment. I asked for an email invoice for which I received an odd email, not describing the bill, but just the amount owed. This email then said it was no longer available soon after and I could not access it. CB Merchant Services sends a letter to my home weekly and I receive phone calls and voice mails throughout each week.Business Response
