    I took my car to AAMCO because my check engine light was on, before doing so I had taken my car to Auto Zone for a diagnostic trouble code. and it came up P0442. I also have a FIXD detector system that lets you know what the check engine light means and what the cause is and it showed the same code. On the 15th of May, I took my car to AAMCO to get it checked out I spoke with ******* to make the appt. for May 16th at 8:am. They did troubleshooting the code for the check engine light which was P0442 which states (a small leak)they also stated there was another code as well which was P0456. which did not show up on the Auto diagnostic nor my diagnostic ****** said we have a system that cost ****** dollars that this other mechanic doesn't have. They have 2 different parts with the same part number. After my car was so-called fixed. On 5/20 went back to AAMCO to let them know the check engine light is still on they were closed, I returned on 5/22 but, before going to AAMCO took my car to ****'s on **** ********** in ********** spoke with ******, he did a courtesy diagnostic test for me and the same code P0442 came up. I spoke with *******, again about the problem. He said he would look at it. I asked did you do a smoke test on the vehicle because that would let you know where the leak is coming from, he stated we did do a smoke test when I brought it in on 5/16. Then I asked did you do a smoke test after you put the parts in, and he stated they did. So, my concern is why, do I have a medium leak now, with the same code P0442 when it was initially, a small leak a very small leak at that? ******* was pushy, and rude and rushed me to look at and sign documents he over-talked me, he did not let the mechanics speak. He told him to get back. They did a smoke test this time, and I was there to see it. I asked why this issue was not fixed if you did the smoke test the first time he stated something to the effect that it would not show up yet something about the pressure I don't know to be honest, it just did not sound right to me nor did it make sense to me. I'm upset because I paid $576.46 for an issue that did not get fixed. I also have an issue with the part number being the same when their 2 different things. ******* states that's how the system writes it up, for a replaced Canister Purge Solenoid-Purge Part number AAAPC and a replaced Evaporative Emission Control Canister- Vapor Canister R&R. The Leak detection Valve part number AAAPC that cost ****** and the Canister Purge Solenoid cost ******
