I hired Tax Group Center over 2 years ago. I paid them over $10,000 to help eliminate my tax debt. They forced me to open an installment account for $231.54 monthly. A short time later , they forced me to open another installment account for the same payment in return to close the original account. I was told to stop making payments to the original account. Now my credit score has dropped over 100 points and now I have more debt. I HAVE LEFT MESSAGES *** EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS WITH BRUSHED OFF RESPONSES. DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I hired TAX GEOUP CENTER to resolve my tax debt in early 2024. I paid approximately $8,200 for their services. During this time I repeatedly called, left messages and emailed them just to have my correspondence go ignored. Frustrated after several months of reaching out to them, I decided to look at reviews on this business. The reviews were terrible. People stated the same things I was encountering with this business, so I politely called and canceled services. They performed some work on my case, but nothing to make a difference at all, and I requested a partial refund. I was told this would be fine, and was told I would recieve approximately $4,200 of my payment back. I was sent a realse to sign, in which I signed and emailed back promptly. Tax Group ***** told me that I would recieve my return around April 25th. It is now June 17th, and everytime I call I get voice mails and no return calls no matter how many voice messages I leave. I've emailed, with them still stating that they are backed up (whatever that means) and that my return was on the way. This has to be the WORST company I've ever dealt with. They lie and keep lying to save face instead of being truthful. Anybody reading this should seek other options on tax resolution. This company is a fraud and a sham. I've never felt so helpless dealing with a company that boasters on professionalism, but actually has none. I've been hung up on ( and I was never rude), lied to and continuously put through to voicemails. All I want is me return. I urge customers to seek elsewhere for tax help...NEVER THIS COMPANY...TAX GROUP CENTER IS A FRAUD!!!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Hello, I am rejecting this response due to the timeliness of the refund. I was told I would recieve my refund by 3/25/2025. It is now June 21st, and their has been no refund or call backs from this company. I have been hung up on,left on hold and have left messages with no return call backs. None of these things occurred early on. They keep saying the refund is coming, but when? I would like to see this resolved as soon as possible. They also told me they are mailing the check instead of how they recieved my $8,000 and that was by wire transfer. This company is stalling their refunds out as long as they can, in hopes something happens in between *** and they won't have to pay the refund. I've read their reviews. This is common practice with TGC. I would appreciate a prompt refund if possible.

I got in contact with this company over 5 years ago. Since then they have reached out for information that I do not have and told them I do not have. They said they could find said information on their own. Most recently they told me that a $20,000 loan would take care of my tax debts with the *** only to turn round after the loan had been signed off in their name to say that it is only to pay for their services. Services that I had already paid well over $15,000 for. I have been calling and asking for refunds for months now only to be told they will reach back out. They took me for tens of thousands of dollars and are not willing to even speak on my matters. Every time I call for a refund for services that their employees admit they never provided, they respond by asking me for more information. No, no more information, we are past that, I want my money back. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR DEBT RESOLUTION.Business Response

I ***** this company initially for 5000 and they contracted to negotiate with the ***. After 6 years (due to Covid) they finally claimed that I had a settlement pending but due to the prolonged case I would need to pay more. They insisted on ******************************************************************************************************************************* the next 4-6 weeks as promised. They even went to far as to change their initial contact number and I had to look up the company again. I had been working for weeks doing all types of *** forms trying to resolve a tax issue. We still owed them over $50,000. My husband was having health issues, and the tax lien was adding to his stress. He told me to get whatever help I could, since we had a buyer for our house. So, on 1/16/2025 I called Tax Group Center (TGC). I told her I was looking for tax help that was free or at very low cost. I explained that we didn't have any income at that time, our income was seasonal. She said it would be no problem; they would be able to help. I thought it was free or very low coast. After answering her questions, she said it would cost $5000, and we could make payments for 5 years. I dont remember the amount of the payment, but it was under $200. She said she should be able to get the amount we owe to around $10,000 to $15,000. Thats when I decided to have them help. Since it was late she just told me where to initial and sign. I didnt have time to read what I was signing or talk to my husband about it. When we were done with the papers; she explained that they would be sending more forms in a few days to fill out. I talked to my husband. He said we couldnt afford to pay. So, when I received emails from the *** with attachments to fill out, I sent replies saying we wanted to cancel the agreement and pay them for the work that was already done. I didnt fill out any other forms. I didnt save the emails at first. I started saving them when I never heard back. Then I started calling asking to talk to someone about canceling the agreement. After leaving messages and never having anyone call me back, I started documenting the calls. I even sent a fax to see if they would respond. I received an email from **********************************. It didnt make sense to me; I thought it was a scam text, so I didnt respond. They called and asked me to pay the payment, after learning that the payment was for ***. I said I wanted the auto payments stopped. I explained why.Business Response

I contacted The Tax Group in March 2024 and hired them to work with ******** and the *** to negotiate a settlement or offer in compromise for owed taxes from when i took money out of my 401k during COVID. Its been months since i have heard from anyone. Im getting letters from NY State and the ***. I apparently have a tax lien on me now and i cant get anyone to call me back. In April of 2024 I filed for an extension with the ***. Due to unforeseen events with my last place of employment I received a copy of my W-2 form late. I had heard adds from places like Fresh Start that claimed they could save me big bucks on my taxes, but I had to owe at least $5000. I didnt owe that much but called the Tax Group anyway. I spoke with a person named **** who charged me $250 and said that the Tax Group could help me. I was relieved as I had just lost my job along with many others due to upper management changes. Additionally, I am a Senior Citizen that lives alone and is responsible for making mortgage payments. **** didnt do much explaining regarding how the process actually worked ********** the meantime as Thanksgiving and then Christmas came and went, I had of course finished my taxes and in mid January the people that were actually going to save me money contacted me and I spoke with a person named ********, a person named ****** and ******* Mazcarro as well as someone named ******. The people I spoke with talked fast and left out ALOT. Quite honestly, I didnt know what to ask. As things turned out I owed $3,700 to Federal and I was due a refund from State. I thought I would be told I did not qualify but that didnt happen. What happened was they requested $3,500. I sent $ and my taxes, already prepared, and I was told everything had been mailed off. I was disappointed that they had not saved me money. Altogether I paid $3,750 and $3,700 was what I owed Federal. Approximately 6 weeks later I called MD IRS to see if refund had been mailed. I learned they had never received my return, after 1 more call, neither had Federal ***. I was sick, nauseous and scared. Id been scammed. I called Tax Group to learn that it was the fee!!!! For WHAT? I was told the money was for negotiations. There had not been any negotiating!! Nobody will return my calls. Please HELP me! (They have a money back guarantee!!) TY *******Business Response

I was behind in taxes and seeked out a company to help settle my debt. Tax Group Center looked at my case and said they could resolve both state and federal tax debts. I was told they could negotiate my debt down to ****** for each debt, state and ***. I paid Tax Group 4****** dollars for service fee for both debts, state of ****** and ***. Total of ******* dollars. At the time I paid and signed the first contract I was getting garnished, tax group said they would get that stopped and never did. They discovered I was missing some years of tax fillings so I paid Tax Group Center additional fees to prepare and file those years so I was in full compiance with the **************************** and the ***. I did all this and have the paperwork and emails showing so. This all started in 2022. In April of 2023 I recieved an offer from ****** for ****** settlement. I signed all of it and sent it to tax group. Well this never got turned into the state from tax group. I was told my attorney left the company and never turned it in. So that offer had expired and now im getting garnished again. I didnt find any of this out untill this year. Tax Group dropped the ball somewhere in there and has told me i didnt turn in paperwork, I have all the emails showing I did, than they said I didnt file some years, found proof of that filing, now they are saying it is state of Kansas error. They are running me in circles and have done nothing that I have paid them for in 2023. I have emails asking the status of my case, asking all kinds of questions and never get any answers. I have all those emails saved. Now I am back to square one with a debt and getting garnished. I have paid them ******* and there has been nothing done. They dropped the ball on my resolution offer and Im paying the price. I just would like them to do what I paid them for, fix or pay for the mistakes they have made, human error im sure but is wasnt mine and im paying for it. ThanksBusiness Response

I HIRED TAX GROUP IN AUG 2024 TO SETTLE AN IRS DISPUTE. THEY QUOTED ME $10,000 TO TAKE THE ***** AFTER 2 MONTHS WITH NO RESOLUTION AND SEVERAL CALLS AND EMAILS NOT RESPONDED TO, I FIRED THEM.
