We hired **** to do some remodeling in our home, first of which being completely replace the roof. His work has been terrible through out the entire process, his crew drank beers and left cans all over our property, installed many things incorrectly, or just not finished things at all. We have had flooding issues, floors breaking because of being installed unleveled, windows not installed completely and sealed, the list is long. We ended up hiring another contractor to repair a lot of the work done, however now our roof is leaking. **** is refusing to come fix his warrantied work after he was paid in full. He is beyond unprofessional, he is incompetent and has cost my family and I tens of thousands of dollars to repair his mistakes.

Signed a contract with PREFERRED REMODELING on April 5, 2022. The project started on 5/4/22 with completion 6 - 8 weeks. Remodeling one bathroom and upgrade the small bathroom. New floor in den. New pantry doors 4 total. On 5/9 added the kitchen flooring too. Everything started great. Then the new vanity had defects. They tried to patch it. Finally in July, l select another from a different co. They don't order it until August. They didn't get a vanity top. It's not connected. No noise on vanity, no top, no sink, no shower doors. My kitchen pantry doors were never ordered. They change project managers and he came once, took notes, said all what he was going to do. He doesn't answer his phone.

Renovations for my home were initiated on 5/26/22. ************** committed to finishing my project on 7/122. To this day, my project is not complete. I constantly get excuses from Mr. ****** as to why is not completed (from his office getting robbed, to health issues, previous family engagements, and being on vacation).
9/15/22 was the last I heard from Mr. ******. I have been in contact with ************* (inspector) and I get no resolution as to when my home is going to be finished. The total amount for the finished work is $124,300. I have paid a total of $96,500 cash for the renovations of my home. The first portion has been paid in full which includes the master bedroom, bathroom, 2rooms, floor, and paint. (a total of $31,200). But this section is not finished. The Master ba. is not complete, mouldings are being redone (they were not done correctly the first time). The second portion and the remaining amount of $93,000 were for the kitchen, extra room, living room, and laundry. The kitchen is not finished, and mouldings and paint are being redone due to poor quality. Other details need to be fixed and polished. Although not major, it's taking so long to get it done.
I met with ********** on 9/6/22 to go over some repairs- he mentioned he will go over the report with Mr. ****** and would get me an estimated date of completion. I have not received the addendum indicating the date of completion plus the payback for exceeding the date as requested. This addendum should also include the adjustment in the final balance. The jobs that I no longer want(entertainment system &laundry room folding tables. (I do not want to delay the project any longer.) and should be deducted from the total. In addition to getting my project done as soon as possible and getting back pay. Due to such a terrible experience and such inconvenience, stress, and eating out daily (because the stovetop and sink were installed about a week ago)I would like to get my deposit of $1,000 reimbursed

I'm an eighty-year-old woman who has been gravely taken advantage of and defrauded out of $78,000.00. Preferred Remodeling & Development, Inc. persuaded, coheresed, manipulated me into signing five contracts between 3/25/21 - 6/4/21 for the aforementioned work that they partially did, partially did defectively and most of the work they didn't do at all. It is clear on the contracts (*********) that Preferred Remodeling & Development, Inc doubled charged me for a number of services. Preferred Inc. referred me to four, high interest rate, financing companies that they work with. Preferred has been paid in full through financing and I am now left with high interest rate payments that I cannot afford and a home where no work has been done. I am a victim of elderly abuse. On 7/28/21, ***** *************. (Partner) of Preferred Inc stated that he would launch an investigation in the matter. He never did. On 2/10/22, I had a face-to-face meeting with ************* (Production Manager) of Preferred Inc regarding the contracts and my grievances about the work that was paid for versus the work that was done. On 7/22/2022, I paid Attorney ************************ to write a grievance letter to Preferred Inc in an attempt to resolve this matter and to request a refund. The letter was mailed to Preferred Inc on 07/28/22 via priority mail and delivered on 7/29/22 and via certified mail, delivered on 8/1/22. Said letter requested a reply from Preferred Inc within ten days after the receipt of the letter. To date, Attorney ******** has not received a reply. Meanwhile, I am on the verge of bankruptcy. It has since been discovered that the address listed on all the business cards for all the staff at the Carson location, is a fake address,************************** zip code. Preferred Remodeling & Development intended to defraud me from the start.
