    I placed two orders (#****** and #******) with Perfumers Apprentice on the evening of July 10, 2025. Roughly 6 hours later, early the next morning (July 11 at 7:30 AM), I emailed customer service to request that they add one additional item *************** 250ml) to those same orders and combine shipping. I followed up again a few hours later once I saw the orders had shipped, asking for confirmation.I received no reply until both orders had already shipped out which occurred more than 12 hours after my initial request. I also called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do since the orders were already shipped. In other words, they ignored my timely request entirely and then claimed their own inaction meant I was now required to pay a third round of shipping ($13) just to add a single $8 item to a shipment I tried to update within a completely reasonable time frame.This is unacceptable and exploitative. Most companies offer a short ***** period for edits or cancellations especially for orders placed after hours. Refusing to combine or modify an order 6 hours after placement (and before fulfillment) is customer-hostile. And now they want me to pay another shipping fee because they didnt check or act on their own inbox? Thats not good business its bad ******** not asking for a refund. Im not even asking for compensation. Im asking them to honor my original request to add one item to my shipment without forcing me to eat a third shipping charge for no reason other than their own failure to respond.Desired Resolution:I want Perfumers Apprentice to ship me the ************** 250ml without charging me additional shipping. Alternatively, they should refund me the cost of shipping if I place a third order myself.

    We were under the impression this had been resolved, as the customer apologized to us for misunderstanding, and told us that they would be removing their complaint from the BBB. Here is the customer's email that they sent us on 7/ regarding this complaint:

    I received my order today and everything looks great. I just wanted to reach out and apologize for my earlier behavior. I assumed that my messages and calls were getting ignored, and in my frustration, I filled out a form with the BBB, which Ive since realized was a major overreaction on my part. Ive since reached out to the BBB and explained the situation. Thank you for your help and assistance with my order. Enjoy the rest of your week!
