    My partner and I went to see Dr. ********************** as one of our preliminary steps in getting pregnant as a same *** couple... the receptionist/staff at the facility were all lovely but our experience with Dr. ********************** was HORRIFYING. Below is a portions of the letter we sent after our appt. No response from her whatsoever."During the office portion, you blew through your list of questions, interrupted me multiple times, and didnt actually listen to my full answers. All of this led to a major spike in our anxiety and not feeling like we had a safe space to ask you ANYTHING. Nor did you ever once ask if we had any questions. All because you didnt care to listen to the full information or human part of the experience.We could have avoided a lot of this had you asked me or my partner ANYTHING about our situation, what we had already been through, or why we were even there in the first place. We all felt like you were just trying to get out of there as fast as you could, and that you had no care about being a part of our process. The irony is that if you had started with an open-ended discussion of our goals and questions, and asked what we already knew about the process/medical information, we could have saved you a large amount of time and had a much better and more informed discussion. Then, we transitioned from that uninformed and unhelpful tirade, directly to an ultrasound that is inherently invasive. You gave ZERO warning at the moment of you entering my body. So many women have trauma, and I am lucky enough to have been able to do enough work on mine to remain functional through your careless process... But I know many women and female-bodied humans who would have suffered significant emotional trauma by your callousness and lack of awareness (my partner among them).I hope for the sake of the families who come to see you in the future, that you take this to heart and make changes in your practices."
