In September 2024, my son signed up for a free trial with Numerade. We were not clearly informed that the trial would convert into a paid subscription, and we received no billing reminders, invoices, or receipts once billing began. From September 28, 2024, through June 28, 2025, we were charged $26.99 CAD per month totaling $269.90 CAD for a service that was not used at all.I only discovered these charges in late June 2025 and canceled the subscription immediately. I contacted Numerade to request a refund and explained that the service had remained completely unused throughout the billed period. Despite this, Numerade declined to issue a refund, citing internal policy.I am requesting a full refund of $269.90 CAD for the ten months of unused, unnotified billing. I can provide documentation of the charges and evidence of my attempt to resolve this with Numerade directly.Initial Complaint

I cancelled my Numerade account back in March 2024 and according to my records, I have been fraudulently charged for the months of ****** **** June, July, August, September, October, November, December, January (2025), February, March, ****** and May. This means that I am owed the amount of $19.99*14 = $279.86. According to other users online, this is a very common scam for Numerade and many people have been overcharged. I have an email from Numerade in March 2024 stating that my subscription had been cancelled. But, I have still been charged every month.Initial Complaint

Last year, on April 7, 2024, I learned that Numerade was planning to charge me 180 dollars for a yearly subscription I didn't use or even intend to sign up for, so I canceled it and did not dispute when they took the money. This year, on April 27, 2025, I looked into my checking account and saw an upcoming transaction pending authorization from Numerade for $179.88. I canceled that subscription last year and haven't used it since. They sent me an email confirming that I canceled it, which is the last time I received any emails from them at all. In this email, they explicitly state my card would not be charged going forward, but it seems they do not intend to do that. Below, I have attached a screen shot of the email they sent me.Initial Complaint

In approx May 2023 I signed up for free trial of Numerade. I took the appropriate steps to cancel before trial ended. Since that time I have received no communication from Numerade. Yesterday I received an email notice that my payment wasnt successful. I checked my bank records and have found that from May 2023 till the present Ive been billed $18.99/month for a subscription. I contacted Numerade stating I didnt think I had signed up for a renewing subscription and have not received any monthly invoice email. The response I received was that they will not issue any refunds. With very little effort they can see the account has been inactive for over one year. Their cancellation process is deceptive and misleading, and requires multiple clicks to successfully cancel.I am seeking a refund for the months of billing without authorization and without payment invoice email notifications.Initial Complaint

On April 6, 2023, my daughter canceled the subscription and received a confirmation email verifying the cancellation. However, I have continued to be charged $11.99 monthly since then. Unfortunately, I did not notice these charges earlier, as I assumed my daughter was still using the service. Yesterday, I discovered a pending transaction for the subscription fee and asked my daughter about it. She confirmed that she had canceled the subscription long ago and provided me with the email confirmation as proof.Initial Complaint

I have been charged by Numerade for their educational help services for an unknown amount of time billed $29.99 monthly (not sure if the price was different in the past) without any emails regarding billing or accounting creation on the email they say I had signed up with. They will not show me my full purchase history or refund me. I have had no access or usage to these features for the premium service. On my bank app I can see the charges going back one year for $359.88 but it most likely goes further. After accessing the account they say the charges were through it showed on payed subscriptions active and I received an email asking me to make a password to create an account, this was before I had contacted their support team. That email and the support chat are the only emails I have from numerade.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a free trial of Numerade, which was advertised to last for two weeks before starting a paid subscription for $14.99 a month. After not being satisfied by their website, I decided to cancel my free trial, and therefore not continue on to a paid subscription, mere minutes after signing up. Screenshots attached show the emails confirming original sign up and cancellation with the time and date highlighted. On September 27th, I was still charged $14.99. I took it up with their support team and got the attached reply. I responded by saying their information is false and provided the same screenshots with dates highlighted, and I have yet to get a response.Initial Complaint

September 29, 2024 at 1 am $95.40 the business has not answered, and from previous reviews saying that they could not ever get a response, I am afraid that I will not receive one. I sent a request for a refund and explained that I am in a flood zone due to hurricane ****** and desperately need the money for supplies, I tried the free trial and originally thought I forgot to cancel, but when I went through the cancellation process again it all looked very familiar, I did do it, I just didnt click through all 5 pages of the cancellation process. Why do you need to direct through 5 pages to cancel a subscription? I only used the service for the first day of the free trial, I did not like it and it wasnt helpful for me I was charged for a full year of the subscription, that was the only option I could pick when starting my free trial I want to make it clear that I started this free trial before the hurricane came through and destroyed towns all around me. We have no water, the supply is gone and our water company is destroyed. I am begging for a resolution to be reached.
