Distillery invited me to their Tech Leaders happy hour on June 10, 2025 at the *********** in ************* with the promise of either a Tumi bag worth $95 or a $125 gift card. I was the first attendee to arrive and introduced myself to their ***** I had a good time, met new people and learned about Distillery's services. As I left, I asked their *** about the gift and was told that it would be mailed. I waited patiently for a couple of months. Then I emailed their event organizer, ****** Chalandovsky, on 8-26-25 asking when the bag would be sent. She sent me a *** tracking number for a bag sent to someone else with my first name in another city. When I told her that it was sent to someone else by mistake, she said that my name was not checked in at the event. Their Director of Marketing, ******* ******, emailed me that "We have no records of sending you a gift as we never received your filled in form with your details. A guests with a similar name attended and my colleague confused you with them. Is it possible you used a different email address to register for the event? I personally reviewed our final registration list and do not see your name on the list. If you have more details please share and we can review." He later located my event registration, but since their employee had forgotten to check my name off at the event, they are not giving me the promised gift. Since I skipped other meetings to attend, and they had emailed reminders on June 6, and on June 10 advertising the gifts, I feel that they should make good on their offer. They advertised the gifts to entice people to attend their reception out of the dozens of receptions, dinners, happy hours during the conference.
