    TrueCar is not a trustworthy platform. Their system does not work properly and misrepresented a price/payment quote for a vehicle. I would not recommend anyone to use this platform as you will likely never actually receive the price you are quoted using their auto buying program. Bait and switch through and through. Don't bother.

    Stay away from any dealership that uses True Car as a lead generation site. The company employs bait and switch tactics to get you to contact or go into the dealership so they get their lead commission. They either post cars not available, or even more deceptive, they post a much lower price. They get their commission because you contact the dealership, the dealership doesnt have to honor because the disclaimer that they do not have to honor typos made on true cars website. I investigated out of curiosity, there are an abnormally large percentage of typos. Even one of the dealerships that I spoke with who uses them told me not to do my shopping through True Car

    True car is using illegal tactics and price gauging to collect customer's private information and disclose it to the dealer without the consumer's consent.True car committed fraud for collecting this customer's personal information and sold them to different dealerships including Trinity ******** for a fee. Consumers are prohibited to get pricing information on a vehicle unless there is complete disclosure of customer private information. ********************** is also involved in price gauging and giving bad advertising. They disclose lower prices online and inflate it excessively when the consumer contacted the dealer. I'd like to request a formal investigation against True.car.com for violation of privacy. I thought that's wrong and completely unacceptable. This is bad business, and this should be investigated

Per our Terms of Service, when prospecting on a vehicle, this does permit the dealership to connect with you via phone, email, or SMS.     I bought a car (3/15/23) I'd found through TrueCar.com. The selection was awesome, and I was able to find the exact car I wanted. They linked me seamlessly to the dealership which had the car. I could not have asked for a better experience -- and the car I bought was ***** miles away from me so one might have expected some snags along the way. If buying another car, I would not hesitate to go through TrueCar.com. I am truly thankful to TrueCar.

    I would not have found my vehicle if not for TrueCar, I was looking for a very specific vehicle, very specific price with very specific miles, TrueCar made this search easy and the vehicle ended up being 2 1/2 hours away, but in the same city that my son lives in! So it was definable a WIN-WIN!!
