    Dishonest. Came there for a smog check, the mechanic opened the hood, saw that i just had a new battery installed, knew that the service will not be completed but didn't say a word and proceeded with the test. then he deceived me into paying him for the service and told me after he collected payment to come back later at an unknown date, do the test again, and pay him again. at first he lied to me saying if i pay now i can come back and have it finished later and after collecting the payment he told me i will need to pay again when i come back, essentially demanding that i pay twice for the same service that he did not complete.

    We are a smog check test only which means we are certified by ******************* to do a test only your car NOT diagnose your car as to how old is your battery etc. I informed you that on the phone and you would not listen, I even offered you a pamphlet to call and check with ****** of ********** Repair BAR and you continue arguing with me. As for the cost of the test you paid a very low price of $21.95 for a normally test of $60. Your car failed and has to be tested again for reduced cost of $15. I suggest you fact check your information rather than trying to ruin businesses hard earned good reputation.

    I have reported you to the **** you have dishonest business practices. you opened the hood, saw the battery sticker that indicates that it's brand new and was just installed, didn't say a word and proceeded with the test knowing full well that it will not be completed, collected payment and told me i would have to come back in 15 days and pay for the test again. my car did not fail, it should not have been tested due to new battery installation. i reported you because i read the reviews of your business on the other site and i am not the first person you've done this to

    p.s you also gave me misleading information to come back in 15 days - then my car would still not be ready and you would charge again for an incomplete test. Per Bar and ca dmv the car needs to be driven for at least 200 miles to complete the smog test after a new battery installation, which would be an unknown date depending on the driving distance, not 15 calendar days as you told me! and by the way there are plenty of places who charge the same standard amount + certificate i have been going to another place for 8 years and just had the misfortune of going to your station because it was closer to the place where i picked up my car from the shop

    As I mentioned before and as per BAR we are not mechanics and CAN NOT diagnose your car as to how old your battery is or how long you have driven your car since you have changed your battery. Our instructions are we start the testing before opening the hood and can not go back once we start. Even if he noticed your battery is new he coudn't have stop the test.We gave you 15 days for retest and my technician instructed you to drive the car and the drive cycle is different for every car but you dropped the phone while I was talking to you and left.You are so misinformed or refuse to be informed. Please fact check your information

    *** has not responded to your complaint because they know you are wrong. BAR's direction is very clear as to start the test without opening the hood and once the test starts it cannot stop. I don't know how to explain to you any easier. As far as 200 miles your wrong again, every car model and year has different drive cycle could be 20 miles or **** miles that's why we give time limit of 15 days for retest.Check your facts and leave your ego behind !!

    the Bar did accept the complaint and they are currently investigating it. I have no intentions of ever returning to your business, I went to another test station and had my car smog checked with no problems. I do not plan to spend any more time on this back and forth and will not reply to any further comments

    As I said BAR has NOT paid any attention to your complaint because they know you are WRONG. Just accept it. By the way it was very dishonest of you to back charge the credit card and not to pay for services rendered just because you don't agree with the California BAR laws and I had every right to pursue and collect it from you since you agreed and signed the invoice. The reason you passed the smog at another station is because you drove the car and it went through the drive cycle. Again you still refuse to understand the process.

It was wrong of you to accuse us and our good name and you refuse to admit it. You need professional help.
