Contractor: Sunset Professional Painting ************************************************************** www.sunsetpropaint.com Date of Contract: 9/1/22 Work included: Prime and Paint the Following Painting Kitchen Cabinets: $2984 TV Entertainment: $698 Mantel: $195 Stairway Railing: $1496 Hallway Cabinet: $645 The above work was acceptable.*Garage Floor Epoxy (Powerwash Prep, Prime and Paint $1894 Sunset Paint applied the Epoxy Floow Coating System to the garage floor as part of this project. Shortly after completing the work the epoxy floor coating began to peal and show the tire tread and was unacceptable. I contacted Sunset Painting and arranged for them to come out and look at the floor. They agreed that the work product was unacceptable. The crew returned to reperform the work during the first week of November. They removed the majority of the epoxy floor by sanding but failed totake it down to the bare concrete and re-etch the surface to accept the epoxy. They also used a spray paint primer (which is not part of the epoxy kit) as part of the preparation. They then applied the epoxy topcoat. Unfortunately the epoxy floor soon started peeling back and chipping again. I notified Sunset Painting and requested thar they come out and view the floor chipping again. They returned twice. The last time on site was December 17th, at which time they agreed to reperform the work againg to correct the problem and scheduled the rework to take place the first week of January. The crew failed to show up and has since then failed to return my emails, text messages or answer my phone calls. The last contact I have had with the company was when *****, the owner met with me on December 17th to schedule the rework.
