      I wish I had read these reviews before placing my latest order with Cl Tile. I accidentally ordered the wrong color and caught this mistake BEFORE the tile was shipped. I ordered Flemish Red Terracota instead of Flemish Black. Mind you this is one of their quick ship categories which they could easily replace. They said that they would try to see if can ask their supply chain department to catch the order before it shipped only to come back and say that because of their 3 hr cancellation policy, I was out of luck and will be stuck with the order. I was not asking to cancel the order that has not shipped! I am asking to CHANGE the order to a different color and happy to pay a fair change fee. Nope. Their unempathetic email along with too cool for school hipster phone attendants could care less. They basically said changes are part of the cancellation policy. When I asked for the shipping tracking number, they are still to get back to me. BUYER BEWARE! There are many other bespoke tile options with ethical practices I would recommend but there, NEVER at Cl.

      CONSUMER BEWARE: As an interior designer I was drawn to cle tile design for our client projects, but after numerous experiences i can promise you, this company does not care about the consumer. they sell design relevancy with ******************* and a young customer service staff but are 100% bad capitalist. its a money grab with no sense of understanding, fairness, or compassion for the consumer. i never write reviews but feel like if this can help prevent someone else from the stress of trying to get a project completed with cle tile it will be worth it. i only gave 1 star (would have given 0) to initiate the review process.

      Dear ***,When planning tile projects using cl or any artisan tile source, its essential to ensure that your contractor follows the best practices mentioned below to avoid complications such as running out of tiles.1) Unbox and blend all tiles from all boxes.2) Before starting the project, ensure you have enough tiles by laying out all your tiles (blending the tiles first as mentioned above.)3) Create mock-up boards to ensure proper grout sizing and colors.Experienced tile installers always perform the above mentioned steps, which will alleviate tile acceptance and quantities issues. This process is often referred to as a "dry run."To address your leading cause of concern, based on our records, on 6/27/2023, you contacted our customer service to request the specific tiles that would match your 2021 order. We rarely have the same tiles from matching inventory batches available, even from one month to the next, and certainly not over a span of 2 years.Please note that cl does not do not conduct any business resolutions through BBB. However, we hope to hear from you directly if you require further assistance, as we have not heard responses yet to your last inquiry.

      Poor quality. I ordered tile that was meant to have some inconsistencies with its glaze and imperfections in each tile itself (clay) ** if I can still say that 1/5 of them was bad and had a white edge glazed, thats pretty bad. because that was not the inconsistency in any of the gallery pictures. And they didnt care. I wasnt able to use all of my tiles. They accused me of cherry picking certain tiles when I sent them a picture of 144 bad tiles that consistently had a white stripe on the end. **meone had actually looked at these and then boxed them up at a warehouse. But no gallery pictures on their website reflect this aesthetic as being part of the imperfection. I did not find that one in every five was this bad until after I had started a very large installation and made my way through two full boxes. The communication was unapologetic. If you need to use their tile, maybe anticipate spending twice as much on an order so you can order twice as much. And then waiting 16 weeks worth of course. Really bad customer care. I look at something like this, being married to a famous potters daughter, as people that look like artists but dont care like artists. Which unfortunately leaves Cle Tile as basic- which is not what theyre trying to sell you. Order extra tile and remember: the people producing it, selling it, and standing behind it are very basic. Its just another tile when it comes down to it. Not that special.

      ***************** ordered our New **********, handcrafted, hand-glazed tiles produced in extremely small batches with an **** week or more lead time. ************ then expressed concerns about some of the tiles she received that exhibited inherent imperfections, which are sought-after characteristics by many of our clients. To accommodate her preferences, our guild manager even offered an expedited firing as soon as possible to support Ms. ***** project.Although we proposed a solution, ************ was still dissatisfied. We suggested a complete return of all the tiles for a full refund of the entire purchase, but she only wanted to return the tiles that she did not like. We clarified to ************ that we could not accept returns for tiles that were pulled out simply because she didnt like them and that we were offering a full return for the entire order, which ************ declined.

      Id proceed with caution if thinking of ordering from this company. I wish I listened to the red flags I saw here and all over houzz advising to stay away from this company. If you are like me, it felt like it was worth the risk to achieve your own swoon worthy tile install that can be found all over social media from the top designers. Their popular weathered white color has extreme variance. I thought I understood this and it meant I would have the blend of whites, greys, pinks and blues as noted on their website. I learned the hard way this means you could have an entire lot (19 boxes in my case) of just 1 color resulting in a look with no variation at all. **************** hides behind the vague term variance offering no solutions to work with you or resolve concerns. Id personally recommend ordering from other companies out there offering the same or similar products in order to avoid this risk. We installed zellige tile in our bathroom from a competitor and had a positive experience working with customer service to work through our issues.

      *************** husband purchased this tile order. *************** reached out after their installer had used 9 out of the ********************************************************** the installation. However, upon reviewing their installation, the images displayed the expected level of variation and appearance of any well-blended Zellige tile installation.We promptly addressed *************** concerns about the tile variation and actively offered a solution. However, she posted a review claiming that we provided no solutions, even though we had already proposed a resolution and were working to address her inquiry. Ultimately, we granted a return policy exception to *************** after confirming she had 10 unopened boxes, agreeing to refund the purchaser, **************************Despite multiple follow-**** we did not receive a response from *************** for several days. Later, she requested that we alter the return exception, which we declined since we had already provided an agreed-upon solution. The tile supplied and installed for *************** project is not only the same tile we advertise and sell, but we would also be happy to use her images on our website, as it represents the natural beauty of authentic Zellige tile.

      I am so disappointed in this company and their services. I actually like their products but I will not order from them again. The third time I ordered tiles from them, they were weeks late and then sent me an email, saying their delivery vendor (DHL) had to arrange a small truck to get to my house. Therefore, they wanted to charge me an extra $378.71 (yes, to the cent!!!) for this. In their email, they also noted Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated, as storage fees may be assessed shortly. This was the first email they sent to communicate to me on this order. Yet they got the audacity to tell me if I dont respond to their request for an additional delivery fee, they would charge me storage. I was livid. My order was $1900. They already charged me $322 for shipping and delivery at check out. Now they want to charge another $378 for delivery after taking weeks longer than their estimate. Who in their right mind would pay $700 for delivery of $1900 tile order? Thats almost 40% of the product cost! I rejected the charge and told them no chance in h*** I would pay the extra fee. They agreed to not charge me. This was handled so poorly I felt the need to do this review so others can avoid this company all together. I am not a pushover, so I would stand my ground no matter what. But I can imagine others who dont want to fight or avoid confrontation, they may just feel like they have to pay the extra charge. So ridiculous!

      ************** had a complaint with an order (placed by another individual) in which she was not agreeable to our third party shipping company's determination of her location being deemed "difficult to reach" and therefore, requiring a separate truck with a separate crew to deliver. Though ************** stated in her review that she was recommending that others avoid cl, after placing her review, she immediately requested assistance with 1) continuing to facilitate delivering her order and 2) help placing a brand new order. Due to difficulty communicating with and setting expectations with **************, we declined her request to deliver her order and declined moving forward with assisting with any new order unless she would agree to correct her review with factual information. ** ultimately moved forward with refunding in full the purchase of this material to the cardholder. The order was 5 days delayed shipping from the East Coast to ********** rather than "weeks late" as stated by **************. cl includes language on our website and order and shipping confirmation emails as well as any interactions with cl staff to anticipate delays as supply chain and shipping industries continue to face ongoing challenges. We always appreciate patience with our shipping provider whenever possible. Due to ****************** shipping destination, our shipping provider deemed it difficult to reach. In such instances - cl will always provide 2 different options, both of which were conveyed to **************. Option 1 entails delivering to a different nearby alternative address at no extra cost whatsoever. Option 2 if the client prefers delivering to the difficult to reach area - would require additional fees to be paid to cover the separate truck and crew to deliver. Our shipping provider's trucks are wider than most trucks and therefore must take extra precautions with narrow roads. cl was happy to refund in full the purchaser of this material.
