I rented a fence from National Construction Rental for six months at the rate of $511.40. It just happened that its lease ended on 5/18/23 instead of 5/30/23 so I was 13 days over and I am willing for the extra 13 days or even for the full month divided by the original charge amount. Instead, National ****************** wants to charge me $235.90 for the extra 13 days while I only paid $511.40 for six months. This does not make sense. Even in their contract, it says there is an 18% penalty on one month it still didn't make any sense. I contacted the manager *************** and he does not have a good explanation on how he got to $235.90 but is forcing me to pay the amount. Term of Lease/Renewal: The Lease shall commence on the date Lessor delivers the Equipment to Lessee. At Lessees option, the initial lease term shall be for one rental period (the Term) which shall automatically renew for successive Terms unless Lessee terminates this Lease as set forth below. The initial Term shall be for one 28 day Term, one six month Term, one ****************************************** the Lease. The rent for the initial Term may include charges for delivery/pickup, installation/removal, minimum charges, or any other charges set forth in the Lease. For fencing and fence panels, Lessee may renew the Lease Term (Renewal Term) by providing notice to Lessor of its intention to do so at least ten (10) days before the expiration of the Term. If Lessee does not timely renew the Term, the Lease shall renew at a rate that is 18% above the initial rate term every 28 days.The itemized calculation for reference: My initial rate is $511.40 for six months therefore $511.40/6 = $85.23 per month $85.23 per month x 18% lease increase for 28 days = $15.34 $85.23 per month + $15.34 = $100.57 I should have been invoiced for this amount. I was only over for 13 days which was a misunderstanding cause we were informed that we can bring it by the end of the month.BBB please resolve these issues as corporations should not bully individuals just because they can.
