      *** is the preferred lender for green convergence and SunPower for solar units. We financed solar in 2020, and sun power has gone bankrupt and our system is not even working but yet we continue to pay tech cu. This feels like three companies preying on customers!

      Thank you for contacting us. In the 5 and a half years since Tech CU funded your loan, this is our first time ever hearing of your dissatisfaction. Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of Tech CUs members who contracted with SunPower (the "Installer") have expressed no complaints whatsoever related to the solar equipments installation or performance. Still, we understand that you may have concerns regarding the impact of their closing. We remind you that your agreement with the Installer included the manufacturers warranty of the equipment, which is unaffected by the Installer's closure. If you believe your solar equipment is not functioning in accordance with the estimates in your Installer's Home Improvement Contract, we suggest you contact the manufacturer of your equipment, Enphase, directly at ************ or *******************.

      We purchased a Solar System through a company that has since went out of business and the deceptive practices employed to sell us this financing was was decieptfull at best . You are lied to during sale which is obviously a problem , but my biggest problem with technology credit union is there lack of response to help you with any issues in accordance with loan and repayment options was rudely told I wouldnt qualify for any loan modifications without even an application or review and there stance is that they didnt sell me the system so is not there problem so they expect me to make payments for something I was promised even though I am not receiving it ,but they should get what they were promised. According to law if seller goes out of business then the lender assumes some responsibility from what im being told. My complaint is with the low level of service and the denied responsibility on the part of Tech CU . I have tried to resolve issue with them and there partners for 3 years now with little to no help whatsoever from Technology Credit Union only threats to damage my credit if I did not continue to make payments on a non working system. IF BBB fails to post this review it is further evidence that these big companies are the only ones with any sort of protection or respect. As consumers we have no options or recourse to hold them accountable but with a few clicks they can damage your credit which can literally make your life harder and more expensive. Its a very sad time we are living in

      I am rejecting this response because:

      First they put theyve been working with people to resolve issue for months which I have not received 1 phone as to assistance, but they call for there payments with and it has been years not months. Since day 1 this sysytem has not worked correctly and has never produced even a fraction of what supposed too. Seems very easy to be truthful but yet most people simply wont do it. If they were truthful about these systems and didnt tell people it was gonna eliminate there energy bill,not add to it NOBODY would of bought them period and everyone knows this was 100% decieptfull. Option 1-If they can fix this system to offset my entire electrical demand and have a credit every month with energy provider like the sales *** told me ,which my energy bills are still $400-$500 many months and I get letters saying we use more energy then most other neighbors and we are the only one with solar in neighborhood so thats a good way to show how useless this system has been , Option 2  We can remove componets and yall can take them back null the loan . These are only 2 satisfactory outcomes that leaves me not getting ripped off . I have 2 attorneys I am already in collaboration with so as soon as either formally takes case im sure youll be hearing from one of them soon or you can call me directly if you have solutions but dont understand why it has already been this long and no help already . Ive talked to manufacturer, lender and partners many , many times over last 3 years thats way to long to be waiting on nothing. This system got my lights flickering and shoddy craftsmanship and damage to roof makes me wonder how safe this thing even is being installed by such incompetence. I have open lines of credit and many other loans 18 years 0 missed payments . I gave everyone many opportunities to right this before I refused to pay, (3 years) but at a certain point I should get what I was promised too, you know when we signed prommisary, it shouldnt just be about your payments

      In 2023, you reported two late payments on my credit reports. On the evening of August 31, 2023, I received a call from one of your representatives regarding a missed payment by a few days. During the call, I explained that I was driving home from the airport and that the payment had been missed because I was outside the country and unable to access my account. I informed the representative that I would make the payment myself the following ********** agreed, I made the payment on September 1, 2023, and another payment on September 6, 2023. Additionally, I had already made a payment on July 24, 2023. Despite this, you reported to the credit bureaus that I missed my July and August payments.This reporting has had devastating consequences for me. It has resulted in a significant drop in my credit score, from 758 to 584, and has caused me to lose job opportunities. It is also jeopardizing my home, my family, and my overall well-being. I am about losing my house!I contacted your office to address this issue, and your representative suggested that I write a goodwill letter, as she could not explain why this was reported. I followed her advice and submitted the letter, but no action has been taken to resolve the matter.

      I have a solar loan with techcu. In August, I submitted my payment, and about a month later they reported me to the credit bureau as 30 days late. I went into my account and saw that there was no record of the payment. I reached out and explained this to tech cu, and their customer service representative told me they would remove the report once the amount was current. I brought it current and even paid 30 days in advance to ensure I'm good now. Today I received a message from techcu refusing to remove the incorrect report, claiming it wasn't their error. In fact it WAS their error. I have no way to control their system when it fails to process a payment.I had a job offer rescinded as a direct result of this addition to my credit report this week. Technology credit union is now causing me DIRECT HARM by their error and their refusal to fix it. Repairing this is a MINOR is*** and costs techcu NOTHING. It's costing ME a lot in the form of higher interest rates and now the loss of a licensing job opportunity I desperately need because I was laid off from my old job.This needs to be repaired IMMEDIATELY. If it isn't, I'm already talking with lawyers and I will 100% *** tech cu for their false reporting and their blatant lies.

      Fraudulent wire transfer from Technology Credit Union savings account on May 20, 2024. The fraud department admitted that my account was "taken over" in March 2024 and that the request came from ********. I live in ******. Detailed timeline is attached. Technology Credit Union is not refunding the funds. They claim that the wire was made in "good faith". I was told by the fraud department that when the account was taken over an additional phone number was added. They are not sure how that was done. I would love to highlight this issue and warn others that their funds are not safe with Technology Credit Union. I find it unacceptable that they did not make my account whole. I have been a client (with four accounts) for over 30 years. Thank you for your consideration.

Our records also show that the account activity in question was conducted in accordance with our standard security procedures.       I purchased solar panels with a TechCU solar loan in 2020. I am trying to refinance to assist in paying for a new roof. Tech CU places a UCC-1 lien on my home with the county and will not remove it. I was told that I granted Tech CU security interested in the solar system, but I did NOT provide authorization for them to file a UCC-1 line against my home and found no mention of a UCC-1 within my contract. Their website: *********************************************************** under Home Sale and Refinance.I contacted Tech CU and was told that only another bank can have this removed, but the other bank said that they are unable to remove it. For me to refinance, they are saying that I have to completely pay off this loan. Their website said that this is indeed non a lien against the home, but yet they have filed it with the county like it is and preventing me from refinancing.

      Thank you for discussing your concerns with us over the phone earlier this week.During that call, a Tech CU representative clarified that Tech CUs Interest is only in the solar equipment and not in your real property or residence. The nature of Tech CUs UCC-1 filing is disclosed in two places within your Solar Loan Agreement near the very beginning of the Agreement, in the Summary of Key Loan Terms, and in the first two paragraphs on page 6.  You received a copy of your Solar Loan Agreement to your designated email address, but we will send you another copy as well.

      We are aware that lenders occasionally misinterpret Tech CUs interest as one in real property. In such cases, Tech CU will confirm its interest is exclusively in the solar equipment. We believe this alleviates your concerns, but if there is anything else we can do to assist you, please contact us so that we can connect you with a team member who specializes in subordinations.

I would like to note that during our conversations they indicated that they reviewed the transcripts from previous conversations and indicated that their staff would receive additional training on this matter moving forward.  I am very happy with the way that this was resolved and the ability for the company to implement additional training when they saw an issue.

      Account holder--******************************* ******** Financial/Tech CU loan#--2700001346430 Property address *************************************************************** Please be advised that ******************************************* is and has not been my primary residence, nor has it ever been a vacation home. In fact, there was a considerable amount of investment, time and resources to renovate/update ******** into a multi family home which is why there are 2 different solar loans currently on the property. This was abundantly clear to Sales Rep--***************************, his manager ***********************, Palmetto Solar, and ******** Financial/Tech Cu as there were a myriad of inquiries about the number of units vs the number of power meters relative to installation.sometime shortly after 11/20/23 the buyer has been unable to assume the loan as he was advised that it has to be primary or secondary/vacation home If this is was always a requirement, I should have never been allowed to apply and let alone get approved for a solar loan with ********/Tech CU or the other company (can provide that information if it's relevant and will lead to a just outcome). I have reached out to ********/Tech CU several times via ************* calls to no avail.I sincerely hope this can have the just outcome outlined earlier, as I have no desire to escalate this any further than what it needs. My belief is that once the information & subsequent follow up has been properly vetted that ********/Tech CU will do the right thing and allow the loan assumption to commence as it should.Please Advise

      I am rejecting this response because: there was no "mutually agreed upon solution" . . this is categorically false . . the loan was closed because the new buyer had to secure another loan to pay it off as opposed to using the loan assumption process that he should have qualified for (or I should have never been qualified for) as we were BOTH purchasing the property as investor.  As indicated in previous emails & correspondence their is evidence that the loan that I was approved for should have never been done according to their own standards.  At the end of the day . . it is what it is  . . . shame on me for relying on company representatives to be honest, trustworthy, or at the bare minimum reasonable in terms of their business dealings and ethics . .. but at the end of the day I am the one who should have done more due diligence so I can't "blame" anyone but myself . . but I will not align with the assertion that we "mutually agreed" on anything . . with all due respect that's nonsense

      We respectfully disagree that the response provided was false. When we spoke to you on December 20, 2023,we informed you of our willingness to extend the same type of exception that had been previously granted to a new borrower as a result of the sale of your home. As indicated then, the exception alone was not all that was required to be able to complete the transfer of your solar loan to a buyer. The new buyer had to qualify for the loan, as is standard practice. Unfortunately, we were not successful in reaching the new buyer to proceed with the loan process as our phone calls and email were not responded to. Eventually the solar loan paid off, which was understood as the chosen method to resolve the matter. Our response indicating a mutually agreed upon solution was stated in good faith knowing we did follow through on what was shared and agreed during the call aforementioned.

      When we purchased our house, we took over the payment. This lender was responsible for the loan in regards to a solar panel system installed. The company on which it was purchased from was Powerhome Solar, who was then bought out by *********** in April 22, 2022. However, on September 21, 2022 *********** filed for bankruptcy and closed ******** due to faulty equipment, incorrect install of system, and amongst other things. They're are other lenders going through litigation due to the mishap of ***********. Due to these underlying issues, they should also be held accountable taking money from me every month for a company that is no longer service. Trying to receive any type of technical service is nearly impossible. Furthermore, after the recent event in Northern *********, (12-9-2023) the solar system does not live up to the expectation you would expect. Making the house uninhabitable where you can even cook food and take a shower. This loan should be withdrawn and we should be reimbursed from when the issue started. This is not okay!

Tech CU had no direct relationship or line of communication with ************ Tech CU performs the limited role of funding consumer loans originated by financing partners like ****************** much like when one purchases a car through a dealership and then they arrange financing through a bank, credit union or a financing arm of the manufacturer.

      In an effort to assist you, we asked ****************** to provide a production report for your system. Like most systems installed by *********** on behalf of Tech CU members, your system appears to be functioning well. Your system shows no error alerts or production issues. If you still believe the system is underperforming,you can take advantage of the equipments warranty by contacting the manufacturer.
