Lying about the capabilities of their software. The software in question is iClone and Character Creator. They clearly state that their software can import 3d object data from the file types OBJ and FBX. They don't do that and there is a major issue around custom vertex normals. Also because of this issue it does not properly integrate with software that they advertise interoperability with too. The software ****** also advertises a Toon Shader and that "iClone delivers the fastest professional results for real-time 3D animation". Custom vertex normals are important to Cel shaded (also sometimes referred to as toon shading) workflows. I do not know of any other 3D software professional or amateur that has an issue with custom vertex normals because they are a common part of 3d modeling and animation.I have talked with them about this, and they don't care, even when I explained to them that this is a misrepresentation of the technical capabilities of their software. They make no mention of this issue in any documentation even at the time of me writing this. And in further advertising they seem to have doubled down saying explicitly that "... enjoy the creative freedom of character creator for realistic humans, stylized cartoons, or anything imaginable." in their ******* video well after I talked with them about this issue. Stylized cartoons implies toon shading which I have mentioned before. If not that then cel shaded characters defiantly fits under anything imaginable. It is not possible to use custom vertex normals, which no other software that I know of has issue with including the software that they advertise interoperability with. In the case of the software blender, they make the specific claim that the 3d object data is synchronized.

This company is a 3D character making company that has been promoting advertisements on ******** so I purchased the product (Character Creator 4) and its plugins from this company on April 17, 2024, and also induced me to buy membership for a total of $940. Because I happened to be quite busy when I bought it, I started using this product two weeks later. However, I found that it was not what I wanted. When I asked him for a refund, he said that it could not be refunded for more than 14 days (there was no reminder when I made the purchase). Today is May 20th, 2024. In fact, I only used it once, but he said he cannot refund it. If it's under $100, I may not file a complaint. I paid nearly $1000 this time, which is too expensive for me, and the product is not what I want. So I hope you can help me handle it, thank you.
