    The Date of the transaction was 6/07/2025 thru 6/12/2025. I had JC Customs install my used engine in my 2014 Dodge Charger RT V8, 5.7. The cost to install the engine was $2000.00 at $150.37594 an hour. It took them 13.3 hours to complete the install. During the install they had a few issues on my used engine. Owner stated that oil pan was cracked and the valve cover was cracked. He informed me that he would use the other oil pan and valve cover from the my previous engine in the car. When he called to inform me, I did ask him what is this going to cost me and informed him I only had enough for the install. He informed me not to worry that he would swap out the oil pan and valve cover. I did ask him to send me a quote what it was going to cost. He never did after several messages and texts during the week of June 9th. I asked him what is the cost, never received the cost until the day I picked it up on 6/12. On June 12th the total cost for the install was $4023.53. For the repair of the Oil Pan it took 5.5 hours at $169.00/hr. For the replacement of the Valve Cover it took 2.5 hours at $169.00/hr. I was not happy with the total at the end, I did tell him why he failed to inform the customer of the additional cost and told him all I had was $2k to spend. I needed my car so I had to sign as I feared that he would not give me my car. I informed him that I need to make arrangements on the rest of what I owe him. I paid JC Customs $2770.00 and owed $1253.00 . On 12/18/25. I came to the shop and paid him $400.00 and asked him if he found my ECM/PCM Module, this is the computer module he could not find and cost me $300.00. The other issue, why I am reporting JC Customs to BBB. Is that his mechanic broke a main part of the engine and that was the clip to the Computer Module and did not inform me, the customer. It took me ****** to remove the connector and took 2.5 to fix another connector. So I think they should pay me for correcting their work.I paid a lot for quality work
