I am filing a complaint against Thunderbit **** regarding a charge of $199.00 for an annual subscription that I did not intend to purchase.Summary of Events:I signed up for what I believed was a trial or a small, monthly "Starter" plan for approximately $15/month.Due to an unclear purchasing process, I was unknowingly subscribed to the "Pro" annual plan and charged $199.00 on May 30, 2025.I did not realize this error until I reviewed my bank statement recently.Upon discovering the charge, I contacted Thunderbit support. They informed me that my account had used 413 credits.Attempt at a Reasonable Resolution:I acknowledged the usage and, in an effort to be fair, I proposed a compromise. I offered to pay for two months of the "Starter" plan I originally intended to buy (2 months x $15/month = $30) and asked for a refund of the remaining difference ($169).Merchant's Final Response:My reasonable offer for a partial refund was flatly denied by their support representative, Shuai. They cited that too much time had passed and that even switching the plan retroactively was not possible, leaving me with no options.Desired Outcome:I am not asking for a full refund because I acknowledge some minor usage. I am asking for a partial refund of $169. This would allow Thunderbit to be fairly compensated with $30 for the service that was used, while refunding the difference for a large annual plan that I never intended to purchase. The company's refusal to consider this fair compromise is the reason for this complaint. I believe their sales process was misleading and their customer service response has been unreasonable.
