      Sunrun salesmen are complete liars. They promised my family and certain pay each month but each month it is coming out triple what they promised! I was never shown the full contract considering the salesman was filling it out in his tablet and kept skipping through everything and filling it out himself. Till this day I do not have access to the contract. We have had months contacting Sunrun to lower our pay but they do not care.

      8/1/25 12:00 p.m. Sunrun customer service # file formal complaint against sales ************** etc; ****** *****, took call and stated on recorded line, advised saw long list complaints against them w/BBB; calling for resolution; gave address of solar install; he found owner of solar installed; he would contacting them; advised want my complaint to be anonymous--assures me confidential, remind him we're on recorded line and be escalated to case manager; provided my contact case manager question of complaint; advised already filed complaint w **** over 7/18/25 breaker box switch; 6/25/25, **** ********, solar sales manager, knocks on my door advising neighbors 2 doors down want to give me $500 thank you allowing solar panel installation, turned down unethical (I'm former insurance agent), later heard owner didn't offer; wanted access my backyard for install, referred to HOA property management supervisor referencing email owners of unit figured it out on install; she took pic email for contact; kept pushing get access my backyard-- deferred to prop mgmt *** after initial install, installer clothes/equipment left bushes; did not authorize power to be turned off unless text from ****; 7/18/25 use app on my phone turn A/C on shows offline; **** website shows my address on; text neighbor over fence if power out--advised when home assist flipping my unit breaker switch back on; supposedly **** came out earlier; contact **** affirmed if they come out do work up to breaker box don't access; text *** short filing complaint; 7/30/25 late text from sunrun *** **** to be off--firm not authorized; 7/31/25 *** text response not out there; mentions their installer turned breaker box off; 8/1/25 get home after work and earlier phone sunrun complaint, check front door ring cam ************************** gets out 1:57 p.m. leaves around 3:00 p.m. Leaving this comment not trusting sunrun customer service person spoke with earlier escalating my complaint.

      Thinking about Solar Panels from Sunrun I don't recommend it. I keep finding out that I was lied to by the *** who sold me on the idea that this was a good thing. From what I was told, they are supposed to monitor the system and they don't. It went down while I was on vacation and now I owe PG&E to date 600 dollars plus what I pay Sunrun. They don't reimburse for system failure which is what I was also told, that I would be reimbursed. I was also told the repairs would take place within a week but now told it can take weeks which means I'll owe PG&E more money including my monthly payment to sunrun. I was also told if PG&E did not raise rates that SunRun would not raise rates. This was also a lie. PG&E did not raise rates this year but my rates went up with SunRun. I made it very clear I did not want any true *** or extra costs when speaking with the **** I have twenty panels for a 1300 sqare foot home which should cover costs but it doesn't. I had a true up last year of 500. Solar panels are a scam. I have paid more money for electric with panels than without and have not seen a positive impact to the environment to date.

      We kicked the idea of solar around for two or three years. We finally decided to go with Sunrun Solar this Spring. No high pressure and I liked that the solar panels came with two batteries so we could enjoy the solar electricity 24 hours a day. The people at Sunrun changed out our electric breaker box, it was forty years old, just before they installed the solar panels and the two batteries. They were quick and efficient. Four installers came just after 7 a.m. Two on the roof and two on the electrical. I was ready to get into solar power! Then came the news that while they completed the installation before the end of July, we couldnt use the solar panels until first the city inspected and then ******* They told us that could take until the end of September. We were not expecting that. Our monthly electric bill has reached over $400 a month during the Winter and Summer. The Solar was intended to keep our electric bill at just the monthly cost to Sunrun. I worked in the management side of construction for a few years so Im familiar with how inspectors can really slow down any project. In my time building fast food restaurants and medical centers I learned how a smart contractor can help inspectors choose your job to inspect over another one. We never had to wait more than a day for any inspection. So, hearing Sunrun would take two months to get our solar inspected and running is very disappointing. If I were starting over again, we would very likely spend more time with their competition to find not just quick construction but getting to use the solar panels in more reasonable time. So Sunrun, you went from 5 out of 5 stars to maybe 3. If the solar is turned on early, Ill improve that rating. If it takes longer then it may go to 2 stars.

      Sunrun ***** im upside down on my light bill im still paying 12k a year and sunrun promise I will not have a bill from ******* I keep complaining and they dont care.What they doing to people is giving the cheapest equipment less expensive ppanelsand cheap inverter. The sales was suppose to design my panel to where I can run my air conditioner washers and other household items but that's not the case im still paying ****** total 1100 a month and sunrun ****** settlement bill from ****** as while $6843.00 and the bomber is its a new settlement bill ready and its already at $3793.00 ****** states i need to contact the solar company but refuse to take accountability. Please do not deal with sunrunthey are a rip off

      We are filing this complaint due to Sunruns continued failure to provide adequate customer service and technical support for our solar system, which has now experienced three inverter failures in six years.On July 15, 2025, we contacted former employee ****** ****** (who has always been responsive) about our system not generating power. He helped open Case #********* On July 17, we were told our case was assigned to a *** named Ms. ******** After leaving a voicemail, we did not receive a response until July *****. ******* claimed:Our system was fully healthy.We could schedule a technician for $600.Any issue was likely a data error.However, a certified technician (contracted directly with SolarEdge, the inverter manufacturer) confirmed our inverter had completely failed, and SolarEdge supported that finding. The technician ***laced the unit on July 26, and power generation resumed immediately. Our ****** usage ***ort confirms this.We're currently seeking:Documentation from Sunrun stating who at SolarEdge said our system was fully healthy.An explanation of how Sunrun failed to detect the failure.Reimbursement for utility charges incurred while the system was down.We chose Sunrun through ******, expecting ***utable service. Instead, weve dealt with delays, misinformation, and unacceptable supportdespite paying nearly $40,000 for this system.Very disappointing!!!

      I was scammed by Sunrun, its salesman and company to the tune of $160,000 for just 18 solar panels lease for 25 years, The salesman promised to throw in a Tesla battery that I DID not need. He charged me $20,000 additional just for the Tesla battery. The salesman has refused to speak to me since the installation on 6/13/24. I was promised an average monthly bill of about $89 and now I am paying $199 for the next 25 YEARS. Sunrun preys on seniors. I am seeking justice and removal of all Sunrun equipment from my property with immediate effect.

      Sunrun is a solar company that will tell you anything to get your business and then fail to honor their commitments. They offered a referral fee and failed to honor it. They damaged my roof by knocking off a shingle on the flashing and bending the gutter and then stated I had no proof they damaged it. My home was built in June 2020. The solar company was the only persons on my roof installing panels. It is so ***** of them to say I had no proof and not fix the damage they caused. This is terrible customer service and the system is not worth it. By the time you save monies on the utility bill you're paying the sunrun bill costing more than the utility bill. Buyer beware!

      Our contract started with Vivint Solar which was then sold to Sunrun. Twice our system has shut down due to issues. Both times in the hottest months of the year in *************. I had to call Sunrun to notify them my system was not working, I was NOT notified by Sunrun... Received a text 3 days later to schedule an appointment 8 weeks out. **************** is nice but says "sorry the inverters are on back order". Wish I never signed with Vivint, biggest mistake of my life. I know most are happy with Sunrun, their contracts are written differently than Vivint's. They will not **** our contract to what terms they are offering current customers. It's all a money maker.

      SunRun has to be one of the worst rip-off companies out there. DO NOT PURCHASE SOLAR PANELS THROUGH THEM. They do not follow through with any of their commitments, even when it is in their fine print. My panels were not working at all for six months, and I paid them $93.14 each month, plus complete electric bills. They reimbursed me a credit of $398, which did not cover their 95% efficiency guarantee, no less the additional $600 I paid for panels that do not work. Their customer service representatives are not intelligent enough to lie for their companies inability to effectively carry out their guarantees. ******** company, horrible rip off.
