**Subject:** Unauthorized Recurring Charges by Change.org (Nov 2024 Jul 2025)Between **November 2024 and July 2025**, I was unknowingly charged **CA$4.12 every month** by Change.org, totaling **CA$41.20 over 10 months**. These charges were made without my awareness or explicit ********** November 2024, I made what I believed was a **one-time donation** to support a single petition on Change.org. At no point did I knowingly subscribe to a recurring monthly payment plan. There was no clear notification, opt-in checkbox, or follow-up email informing me that I had been enrolled in a monthly membership.Because I do not frequently check my credit card statements, I only realized in **July 2025** that I had been charged monthly for nearly a year.I contacted Change.org and expressed my concerns. The support team replied politely, confirmed that my membership had been canceled, and refunded only the most recent **CA$16.00** (which may have included failed charges or currency conversion fees). However, they **completely ignored my request for a full refund** of the previous months, and offered no explanation or accountability for the lack of transparency.Their response felt scripted and dismissive, thanking me for supporting change in the world instead of addressing the actual issue. It was frustrating and disheartening.---**Summary of Concerns:**- ? Lack of informed consent for recurring payments - ? No clear opt-in process or post-payment notification - ? Only partial refund issued - ? On or about 22 Jul 2025 I received notice that Change.org had charged my account for recurring amount. I never gave Change.org permission to charge my account without my consent. Furthermore, I never gave Change.org permission to keep my account information for them to charge me without my authorization.I contacted them on 22 July and they have refused to refund my account and have not confirmed that they will remove my account information from their records.Business Response

There was a petition created that has severely impacted a local business based on an ex-Girlfriends false allegations that we have tried to get taken down before. She has created fake accounts to comment and push this narrative. This is a local music venue that had nothing to do with a sensitive situation and because of her emotional reaction she has created a hate narrative to shut this venue down and has been sabotaging the venue by sending this petition to bands and having them cancel. We have had lawyers reach out to them to take this petition down but they are refusing to do, leaving it up to the ex-girlfriend that created the petition and is currently still trying to ruin the music venue with false statements. They are single handedly ruining a whole business and many peoples lives with their impact. That stalker "**** ***** of Lehighton" is back on my petition leaving defamatory comments. Can you please contact the police department to find out who this person is? I started a petition against my employer involving 2 managers and 2 coworkers. One of those former coworkers created a fake name and signed my petition just to leave a nasty and defamatory untrue comment on my petition. I made a one time donation to change.org on 1/27/25 for $8.00 (see receipt below). On 2/27/25 my credit card was billed a non-authorized payment of another $8.00 through ******. Payment Summary:Amount paid $8.00 -Billed to **** ****** -Transaction ID ************** -How often one-time I did not authorize them to enroll me in their continuous monthly membership program, have contacted them with no response and after viewing other complaints this seems to have been a scam they have used for years.
