0 stars, users beware!!!!! This company is not a legit company. They accept people to use other's credit cards fraudulently and then will not reverse charges. I've never used this company, don't travel, and they charged $355 to my card! Horrible, fraudulent company!

Used their website to try to book a hotel on my phone while on the road. I kept getting an error while trying to make a payment, so after the 3rd or 4th try, I decided to go to another website and book a hotel through there. After I had already checked in to the new hotel, I checked my email and saw that the payment for Hotel Tonight had somehow gone through even though I just kept getting an error on their browser-based site. I emailed them, and they refused to refund me and said I would've seen the confirmed booking on their app (which I do not have - I was using their site); I filed a complaint with my credit card company, and HT claimed that since I accepted their terms when attempting the payment, I was responsible for the charge. Now I'm $117 short and have no recourse. Do not use - go with a more reputable service, like Expedia or literally anyone else.Hotel Tonight Inc. Response

Scam! I booked hotel in **************, **. Hotel said I was scammed and though I had a confirmation they couldnt honor it. Though HT did refund my original money, I I was left to figure out a room to stay in after a long drive thru windy Montana.Review from Elaine P.

Buyer beware. Coming home from *****, I booked the Holiday Inn *******. It was a 3 rated hotel supposedly recently renovated. Turns out it was filthy, stunk of marijuana, and was a transitional homeless shelter. I could not get in touch with hotel tonight and the Holiday Inn refused a refund. Zero stars poor customer service policy. Unacceptable communication from Hotel tonight. I needed a hotel in ***** very late due to my flight being cancelled out of ***** at about 11pm on June 19, 2023. The Wi-Fi in the airport was terrible. The app for hotel tonight continued to freeze on payment box. I arrive at the hotel to be told they couldnt honor third party payments and refused hotel tonight confirmation. Hotel tonight charged me despite me not staying there. I think the practice was fraudulent and of a scamming attempt!Review from Dillon C

Awful, awful company and even worse customer service. Would leave zero stars if I could. Booked a two bed room in March, only to show up to the hotel and be told that there were only one bed rooms available. Obviously began to look elsewhere while speaking to a HT customer service rep on the phone. Rep stated that there would be "no problem in processing a one time credit" in this instance. Figured this was an ok resolution as I could use the credit towards a future booking later in the year. Go on to book a different hotel for hundreds more dollars only to find out days later that HT would not honor what the rep said on the phone and I would not be getting a credit. Exchanged emails for the next week with HT customer service to no avail. Only offer was a $25 credit - will never use the service again and recommend against booking anything on their app.Review from Toni H

I booked online and got to the hotel and they were trying to charge me hidden charges that was not stated on ****************. I, then called customer service and was told I can not get a refund for a hotel I am not staying at. Dont use this service!!!Review from Robert K

I booked a room in November and in the app I selected a 2 bed room. Even have a screenshot of the final screen before clicking pay, this was to share with a friend ** splitting it with. Room was booked. When we check in they only have a 1 bed room. Turns out HotelTonight booked me a 1 bed room instead of what I selected. If you do use them which I suggest you dont, check your confirmation email immediately as this can be different from what you booked. Their customer service offered a $25 credit for the trouble as I would need to book another room $700+ to get a second bed. I sent them my screenshot proof of the 2 beds selected and they claim I could have just did this today and screenshot it. The hotel doesnt have 2 beds available the day of Check in and the price would be different, so how is that? Also sent them a screen record of my conversation with my friend in November with the screenshot showing the totals and 2 beds. Horrible experience. Dont use a service like this, always book direct.Review from Daniel H

I paid for an upgrade (extra bed) through the HotelTonight app. The hotel did not have the second bed available, so HT did not even confirm the room before I got there. I was given my money back as a 90 day coupon instead of a refund to the credit card. I was told that this was my only option since I did not cancel the reservation entirely. Im sorry, but I was checking in at 10:30pm at night Im not about to look for a hotel. Please keep your coupon and refund the money to my credit card.Review from Stephanie H

Avoid booking through HotelTonight. When they first came on the scene they were a solid company. Now they offer no name hotels, that you cannot reach by phone. I have called the hotel that I have me booked at to confirm the room type. No one will answer the phone. I have called on multiple occasions with zero success. I am not even sure I have a hotel when I get to my destination, let alone a room that can hold my family of three. At first HotelTonight offered me a refund, and then it turned into them wanting to give me a credit. I don't want a credit to a travel booking site that you cannot trust the hotels they are sending you to. Take my advice and do not book with them.
