What a scam. They asked a few intro questions on the app (and you can't proceed without answering them) and then billed my health insurance company $331 with no authorization from me whatsoever. Now I'm getting constant emails about helping with my neck pain when what I actually have is knee pain. Sorry I ever downloaded the app!

Predatory agency with aggressive and harassing marketing strategies. Finally had to block their number and email to rid myself of them permanently.

This is not a legitimate company. They have found a way to provide nothing of commensurate value and bill incompetent and overwhelmed insurance companies on a recurring basis and get away with it. They should be stopped. But they wont be.

As I remember, I filled out a questionnaire and answered questions for hinge Since then, hinge charged my insurance company exorbitant amounts of money without my approval and without providing any type of service I call them predatory and a act of fraud I have reached out to my insurance company as well.

Our programs are made available through partnerships with employers and benefit funds who agree to cover the full cost of the program for eligible members. This cost does not come out of your insurance benefits, your insurance company simply acts as a third party administrator to issue payment. Claims are submitted at predesignated marks of the program, these terms are agreed upon during the initial setup up of the employer partnership. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and want to assure you that you are not responsible for any out of pocket cost for our program.

I started PT with Hinge Health in spite of the fact my knee pain had gone away. Thought it might make my knees stronger and keep my patello-femoral pain syndrome from coming back. Apparently, Hinge just has one "script" for knees because they kept putting squats into my play list. I expressed my concern to the physical therapist. The squats were taken out for a brief time then they returned. Everything I'd read about the syndrome said NOT to do squats! After a short time, the pain returned to the original knee and then started in the other! I could barely walk when I quit using the app! And, he pain is so bad at night that I have difficulty sleeping. Hinge is snake oil! I am now doing in-person PT, hoping to again be pain free.

This company obtains your data without your consent, despite privacy preferences and privacy law, and then they spam with with physical mail and email. Bad company built on bad business practices.

This is nothing but a process known as "creeping" in the insurance and medical supplies industry. These so-called providers reach out to employers with offers that they want to provide services for their employees, when it's just a means to get a data dump with private information to solicit them over and over. I don't know how this can at all be considered legitimate under HIPAA and will not ever allow them to send me any of their materials. Once they know they have a pipeline to any insurance plan, they will bill for everything.

I agree with everything that **** * stated in his review. The exact same scenario has happened to me. My insurance company was billed for services that were not rendered after I got the stretching bands and the mat. It is very deceptive!

Hinge Health is incredibly misleading with their advertising and their services. I received a ****************** their services for joint and muscle pain rehabilitation via their app. The mailer said my company had already paid for the service and there would be no cost to me. So I figured I'd give it a shot and try it out. I downloaded the app, ordered the kit (a few stretching bands and a yoga mat), but by the time it was delivered I was out of town for 6-weeks on a vacation.Next thing I know, my insurance was billed $655. The insurance covered everything so there was no cost to me, but still. Billing my insurance isn't the same thing as my company having already paid for it. Had I known that it hadn't been paid for, I may have thought twice about signing up as my issues are minor. Had I known it cost $600+, I would have never have signed up. Next thing I know I'm being texted constantly by one of their associates as to why I hadn't opened the app or started the program yet. I explained I was on a road trip for 6-weeks and didn't have access to the supplies they had mailed. I said I would be picking it up and trying it when I returned. She confirmed they would reach back out to me then. When I return from my road trip, I see two additional monthly bills for $140 each. They had been billing me monthly for services I wasn't using even after becoming aware I was out of town. Further, there was never a disclosure of a monthly subscription/billing. My insurance covered both of these charges too, but now someone is $1,000 for an app/yoga mat/stretch bands that haven't even been used yet all because of manipulative and deceptive marketing. I've contested the fees with my insurance company so they can investigate this provider and I'll avoid doing business with them in the future.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we apologize for the confusion! Your employer covers the entire cost of the program as an employee benefit, but in order to do so, they require us to submit a claim on your behalf to your insurance company. This cost does not come out of your insurance benefits, your insurance company simply acts as a third party administrator to issue payment. The total cost of the program covers your enrollment for a full 12 months. We submit a total of 3 claims that begin with your initial participation in the app. Once those 3 claims are processed, you should not receive any additional claims for Hinge Health services this year.
