    I made an account with ****************** and purchased Bitcoin when I tried to send it they said I had to verify my account. When I submitted photos they said my account couldn't be verified and I had to wait 30 days before trying again. I tried emailing them to please re-review my account they just responded with an email saying they closed my account. So what about my deposit. It wasn't very much it was like $11 dollars but it was my last $11 I had to my name and it's the principle.

    Bought just ***** of btc through river. Gave them basic info and bank info .. Everything went smooth then I tried to withdraw *** . They then claim you have to go through a verification process which was never stated. I did the verification process they then claim I didn't pass. I can resubmit 2 months from now . Really ill open a site and take people's money and never let them take it out what a scam..I have been with ******** for all most 15 years . They have a 3-5 day waiting period .mI was just looking for something faster..two months and I might get denied . That's robbery shut this company down!!!!!

    I deposited funds with River Financial; they requested identity verification, which I provided. They still closed my account on September 21, 2024. Based on the circumstances, and after initially refunding me by physical check to an incorrect address, we both agreed for them to return the funds in digital currency (BTC), which I agreed to, but only after 180 days from account closure (September 21, 2025). I have an open ticket with their support team (#******) and have followed up with numerous emails, which have not been replied to. My refund was due on March 20, 2025, 180 days after account closure per their team's ************* of today, April 14, 2025, I have not received my funds or an update.

    Was curious about investing in BitCoins. Stumbles over "River Financial" online. Looked them up then started transferring funds in order to buy portions of BitCoins. Invested $50,000. When I found out that they charged one percent for each purchase transaction, I started selling. They charged me one percent for each sale transaction. I did not complain, but I tried to retrieve the cash resulted from the sale. They restricted the amount of cash I needed to transfer back to my bank; they would not allow me to transfer such cash for a few days. They kept restricting the amount I needed to transfer back to my bank account, for as many as five days at at time.This practice as well as the one percent charge for each purchase or sale was not disclosed up front.

    This morning, our bank notified us that your bank refused the ACH payment, and it was redirected back to our bank account.

    When this happens, we issue a physical check to the physical address on your account file. We process checks once a month, so the check will be issued on the last business days of the end of the month. Once issued, checks take 5-7 days to be delivered to your door.

    Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Unjustified Account Restrictions and ** Verification Issue Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against River Financial due to their refusal to allow me to withdraw my funds from my account, citing issues with ** verification. This is completely unacceptable.I have already submitted a copy of my drivers license and a picture of myself, yet they claim I did not pass the ** verification process. This is utterly misleading and without justification. I am fully prepared to provide additional documentation, including my passport and Social Security card, to verify my identity.Instead of providing a valid reason for the denial or asking for additional documentation to resolve the issue, River Financial has told me I can resubmit my verification on December 25, 2024almost an entire month away. This delay is completely unreasonable, especially when I have already provided sufficient documentation.I demand that River Financial promptly resolve this matter, approve my ** verification, and allow me to use my account as normal, including withdrawing my funds immediately.     I bought bitcoin through River Financial on 8/15/24. Was told it would be 7 business days before my account was verified to allow transactions to be completed. Called several times to clarify but was told 7 days prior to being able to send $$$ through River. ID verification completed. Still unable to get my money back or send it after waiting 7 days. Called back & was told new accounts can take longer. Received email stating I could use the account but funds still unable to send. Contacted River again. Next day received email saying my account was closed & my funds would be returned on 9/30/24. Now my funds remain unavailable to me for 6 weeks. This is wrong and unacceptable. They should not have allowed me to purchase Bitcoin if my account was not authorized to do transactions.

    On June 12th 2024 I set up an account with ********************** through their app. On June 17th I purchased $30 in *******. Then whenever I would try to send the Bitcoin to my other wallet or move it at all I would get a message saying that my ID was still under review and that their support team would contact me within 24 to 72 hours. Then on June 19th I received an email stating that my account had been closed. I was not given any reason to why it was closed. And it is very difficult contact their customer service. And I would like to know why my account was closed, and I would also like to have my money returned to me.

    Set up River Financial account on April 25, 2025. I provided detailed bank account information. Received notice on April 30, 2024 that I was not approved but no reason supplied. Since detailed banking information was supplied then specific reasons should be supplied to me as a consumer. It should be clearly noted that this is an application not a verification. Misleading advertising.

    After I asked to liquidate my money and have it returned to me, in writing, they proceeded to send me correspondence hours later saying they made the decision to "shut" my account and hold on to my money for 60 days. This money is mine, they are simply a custodian and have zero rights to do so. They work as an fdic insured financial institution. They charged me astronomical fees, and I tell them I want to pull my money and then they decide to freeze my funds for 60 days with no explanation! Deceptive and wrong.
