On June 20, 2025, I submitted a consumer file disclosure request to TrueWork *************************** through their FCRA Consumer Request Form (Request #****/7008). Under FCRA Section 609(a)(1), I am entitled to receive "all information in my consumer file."TrueWork provided an incomplete disclosure showing only one canceled Carvana verification attempt from July 2023, but refused to provide complete employment records. When I requested my full consumer file including employment records from past employers, termination information, and employment data, TrueWork gave contradictory responses:1. June 24: Claimed they "do not have any other data" and are "not a credit bureau"2. June 24: Contradicted themselves by claiming they're "not a credit reporting agency under ****" despite their website explicitly stating "As a ************************** Truework is responsible..."3. June 25: Claimed they "do not maintain an ongoing consumer profile or file" while simultaneously having provided me a detailed report with my personal information TrueWork's own website (**********************************************************************************) identifies them as a ************************* and acknowledges FCRA obligations, yet they refuse to comply with Section 609(a)(1) file disclosure requirements. Their responses contain multiple legal contradictions and appear to be willful FCRA violations.I have repeatedly cited their legal obligations and their own published consumer rights policies, but they continue to provide evasive responses and refuse to provide my complete consumer file disclosure. This appears to be a systematic violation affecting consumer rights under federal law.

TrueWork is an employment verifier. They are refusing to verify a client's employment who's signed a release authorization. Our agreement states that it will release "employment records" for a year from the signed date. They are stating that they will not fulfil the request because it must state that it releases "employment information" and they have to have signed it in the last ******************************************************************************** the same. Our form also states that it's active for a year after date signed and we are within a year.We want the verification delivered so that we can continue serving the community; we serve the residents of ************* assisting them with job placement. We acquire funding through showing our efficacy via job placement outcomes. Not receiving the verification hurts our ability to continue serving the city.

    ****,

Thank you for reaching out regarding your concern about the cancellation of your verification of income request. We have reviewed all of our records and communications and confirmed that the request was canceled due to the specific requirements set by the data provider for the company being verified due to the request including income records with the employment verification; while your authorization form does state it covers employment records for a year from issuance to obtain a verification that includes income, as was requested, our data partner explicitly requires the authorization form to contain language referencing release of income records and to be signed within 90 days.

After reviewing your correspondence and sensing the verification for employment alone could suffice, to address this we were able to proceed with providing an employment-only verification, which met the necessary criteria while ensuring the request could be fulfilled. Your order number to reference for this completed report is ********; your peer who placed the initial request should have the correspondence and link in their inbox. In the future, if the request selected includes income data please be aware that we will be required to ask for authorization forms that meet the standards of the data provider. If income is not necessary please be sure to select the verification of employment option. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked through this process.
