Ive had multiple unacceptable experiences with Turo as a host. During a recent trip, the vehicle presented a weird issue with the shift gear while it was under a guest's reservation. I immediately filed a damage report and chose to handle the issue through Turos protection plan instead of blaming the guest. Still, Turo charged her and allowed her to leave a false and harmful review calling me a scameven though I never charged her directly and had screenshots proving I was supportive throughout. Turo refused to remove the false review, despite clear violations of their review guidelines.Another guest returned the vehicle with a strong smell of marijuana, which is strictly prohibited. There were signs in the car and clear communication about the no-smoking policy. I submitted evidence, but Turo refused to apply a cleaning fee due to a timing technicality, even though odors cant be documented immediately.Additionally, after reporting the shift gear problem, Turo didnt block my calendar, and another guest booked a trip. I was forced to cancel less than 12 hours before the next reservation, and Turo punished me with an automated bad review. When I contacted support, they promised it would be removedbut it's still visible on my ********** make things worse, I paid out-of-pocket to repair the mechanical issue despite having the 75 protection plan, and Turo has completely ignored my reimbursement emails. Ive contacted support multiple times through chat and email, but they constantly bounce me around without resolution.Turos support for hosts is broken. They allow false reviews, deny rightful reimbursements, ignore proof, and leave hosts to deal with the consequences. This platform does not protect those who follow the rules.

Turo does not allow car owners to use AirTags on cars, but it will allow them to use HTags, which track the car in real time. A stranger from the internet having a renter's real-time location is unprofessional and unsafe. When I contacted Turo about this, they did not believe me (despite me providing photo evidence) and were dismissive of my concerns. An unprofessional company that does not seem concerned for the safety of their guests.

Please do not rent from this company. I was a victim of credit card fraud with multiple charges to this company. Of course, I had to cancel my ******* soon as I realized it, I called them directly. I spoke with ****** who assured me he would call me back within an hour. Over two hours later, no call. I called back. Had to speak to another *** *** and tell the story all over again. This **** who refused to transfer me to ******, said they wouldnt call back but would email me. Still waiting over an hour for that email. Perhaps this company should spend fewer dollars in advertising and more money in hiring good/truthful customer service **** who can handle customer concerns and complaints. Thank goodness for a great credit card *** at ******** who is working with me to resolve my issues. I would leave no stars as well regarding my overall experience.

I rented a car and four days into the rental, the dashboard displayed a check engine light. I returned the car, and Turo told me they had reimbursed my money, but it would have to wait ten days. On the tenth day, I called them to follow up and found that they had not reimbursed the money. They told me that a reimbursement had not been done and they were doing now. I was told I had to wait 3-10 days for the reimbursement to show up in my bank. I will not use their services again.

I recently rented a 2014 ****** Prius on Turo for 3 days in ***********. I returned the car without any damage I even took multiple photos of the exterior at drop-off and uploaded them through the app. The host inspected it in person when I returned it and didnt mention anything wrong at the time.A couple of days later, I received a claim saying I caused a 1-inch scratch on the front bumper. They charged me $500 upfront, and I immediately disputed it, telling Turo I didnt cause the damage. I never got any proper proof from the host. Then, they added another $1029 after supposedly getting a quote from a body shop bringing the total to $1529 for one tiny scratch on a 10-year-old car.Meanwhile, the host operates out of what looks like a junk car garage they clearly do this professionally and not like the regular Turo hosts who rent out their personal vehicles. I even mentioned this during my support chat with Turo. The *** told me they would not process the charge until the dispute was investigated. Yet they still went ahead and charged me the full amount without warning, and now my total trip cost has ballooned to $1811.35 for a 3-day rental of a Prius. They even charged me for not filling the gas tank, even though I topped it off right before return. Just ridiculous.Heres what bothers me:No real damage evidence was provided.I filed a dispute immediately, but they still charged me.The support agent confirmed the charge would be on hold, but that didnt happen. This feels like a scam, especially considering the host setup and inflated ***air estimate.I need your response, or I will make sure that everybody nows this.

I booked the vehicle but noticed they didnt pick you up at the airport so I canceled and booked another vehicle well it turns out the cancellation was 28 hours after the booking. Now Im stuck paying $440 for nothing. Do not waste your money on these people!

Turo charged $3,302 After Cancellation-No Support or Follow-Through from Host or Platform I had a deeply frustrating experience with Turo involving a long-term car rental in **********. I originally booked the vehicle on June 9 through a host affiliated with Just A Car Rental, for a 13-week-period from June 28 to September 27. I canceled the reservation on June 11, just two days later, due to an unexpected change in my circumstances.Despite cancelling well in advance of the trip start date, I was charged the full amount-$3,302- for a car that I never used. Before and after canceling, I reached out multiple times to the host and the co-host, clearly explaining that I still intended to rent the same car, just starting one week later. I made every effort to find a workable solution. ******, from Just A car Rental, promised multiple times to help reschedule, but never once followed through, despite multiple assurances.I also contacted Turo **************** but received no meaningful outcome or resolution. In the end, my reservation was canceled, and I lost $3,302 without any flexibility, credit, or refund offered. This situation reflects a complete failure of support and fairness-both from the host and from Turo's platform. I am requesting a full or partial refund, or at a minimum the ability the ability to apply that amount towards a future reservation. I hope Turo reconsiders how it handles long term bookings, especially when a customer acts in good faith and well in advance of the rental period.

Do i have to leave a star? -10 stars I rented a vehicle that, quite frankly, should not have been on the road due to several serious issues. These included:Faulty shocks that made the ride unsafe and uncomfortable Only one working charging port out of six A key fob that did not function properly A constant service light indicating potential maintenance or safety problems Despite these clear issues, no compensation was offered, nor was any real concern shown about the condition of the ********** make matters worse, Ive contacted Turo support five times to resolve this, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. One representative hung up on me, and another promised a call back that never happened. Not once did I receive meaningful help or follow-through.I was a responsible renter and kept the host informed. If I was slightly late returning the vehicle, it was because I was cleaning and unpacking it after a frustrating trip not out of negligence. This late fee feels unfair and excessive, especially considering the circumstances. Turo has shown more than once that customer care is lacking, and I hope this message prompts someone to actually look into my case and correct this charge. Please respond promptly and confirm that the late fee has been removed from my account.Sincerely,********* ****

I rented a ****** Sienna for a road trip from LA to ****. After several hundred miles, one of the tires started shaking violently. We were stranded early in the morning and had to wait for a shop to open. I paid $284 out-of-pocket to replace the tire for safety and reported it immediately to the host and Turo.I submitted photos, receipts, and messaged the host both during and shortly after the trip. The host ignored me completely during the claim window and only responded after Turo auto-closed the claim not to help, but to demand a different tire brand.Turo acknowledged that I did everything right and submitted my claim properly. However, because the host didnt escalate the claim within 20 days, they refused to review or reimburse me. I was left with the cost simply because the host stayed silent and thats how Turos system works. They later warned me that pursuing arbitration or legal action could result in $5,500 in liquidated damages or account removal just for trying to recover a repair I shouldnt have paid for.Its not about the money. Its about the fact that their process lets hosts ignore claims, leaving guests with no recourse even when we follow the rules. I wont be using Turo again.
